Other wonderful places to see in the neighborhood are the Jardin des Tuileries, which in addition to gardens and sculptures, have cafes, creperies, and a giant ferris wheel as well as the Musee de l’Orangerie. The Forum les Halles, once Paris’s primary market, is here as well as is Rue Montorgeuil, a car-free shopping zone with bakeries, boutiques, and restaurants. The nearest metro stops are Louvre-Rivoli and Palais Royal-Musee du Louvre, which serve the same line as the Champs Elysees.

Nearby Attractions: The city of Paris! Explore Paris on foot to find the hidden treasures of the city of light. Unknown too many are the Beehives of the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg – hit the beehives at the right time in the fall and you’ll be able to purchase the honey! The popular cocktail bar, Les Etages, has two “branches”, one located in the Marais; the other in St Germain. The covered market, Marche St.-Quentin, dates back to 1860, and has 30 plus stalls of mouth- watering cheese, baked goods, meats and more. La Perlerie is a tiny store offering bronze and silver bracelet and necklace charms and you can assemble your jewelry right in the store. For some of the best steak frites of Paris, stop by Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, known simply as l’Entrecôte, but expect a wait of at least a half-hour!

Great apartment, great location.
Enjoyed Most:
Quite spacious apparent, close to everything.
Enjoyed Least:
There was construction going on in one of the neighbor's apartments,so we were awakened every morning by loud thuds.
Surrounding Area:
Very close to the opera. Found lots of small restaurants away from tourist area.
Tips or Restaurants:
Apartment was well appointed with plenty of towels. There was a washer/dryer which worked perfectly. Whatever else you needed, there were supermarkets and a small pharmacy next door.
We hired a car service trough RentVillas, which was great.
Check In Out:
Process was very smooth, friendly contact person, same with driver.

We loved the property. It was a great location.
Enjoyed Most:
The size and location of the property were great and it was very clean; the kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. It was very nice to have a phone available for use; we were able to call the states free of charge.
Enjoyed Least:
The stairs were a little hard to navigate. We were not told how to put the lights on in the stairwell at night--which we figured out the day we were leaving. Also, the gentleman who greeted us did not point out that there was a market two doors from our place and sent us quite a distance. The shower did not drain well and would overflow a bit.
Surrounding Area:
I really liked being close to the market and pastry shops, also the cafes and restaurants.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Since we were in Paris we were able to walk to a lot of places.
Tips or Restaurants:
For this property you need to be able to climb stairs. There is a very good restaurant on the corner, with many more with in walking distance.
We did not have a problem getting to the property as we took a cab.
Check In Out:
Check in and check out were very easy; RentVillas made it easy to do online. I would and have recommend them to anyone, plus I would use them again.

Overall we had a very positive experience. The location was wonderful. We felt very safe. We were within walking distance of a number of the best museums and Rue Montorgueil, which had wonderful restaurants and little food markets.
Enjoyed Most:
The location! It was so nice to be near the Louvre, Tuileries Gardens, the Palais Royal Metro, Rue Montorgueil...
Enjoyed Least:
We couldn't get the microwave to work. The street noise late at night from the cafe across the street and then again early in the morning was difficult for the boys sleeping in the room with the twin beds.
We arranged for an airport transfer with Rentvillas and it was very smooth.
