About The Experience
Outdoor markets, delicious pizzerias, and fun shopping boutiques are what will be within steps of you should you decide to rent this apartment in Rome. But not only does this vacation accommodation in Rome offer an ideal location, it’s also a pleasure to be at itself, for it features a private rooftop terrace and spacious interiors. Grab your family and book your flight because it’s now time to have that Roman holiday you’ve been dreaming of!
Location Description

This apartment is located on the Via Dei Gubbonari, about two minutes' walk away from the Piazza Campo dei Fiori in the historic center of Rome. This area lies between the Tiber and the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. It contains some of the most important historic buildings in Rome, including the Acrea Sacra del Largo Argentina, Chancery Palace, the Palazzo Farnese, the Capella del Monte di Pieta, and the Pantheon. The apartment itself is a fifteen-minute walk from the nearest underground station, Spagna. Nearby you will also find stops for the ATAC bus lines 40, 46, 62, 64, 70, 190, 571, and 916, as well as the electric bus lines 116 and 116T, and tram line 8. You can reach Termini train station by taking bus 70 from Largo Argentina; it takes about 10 minutes.

Nearby Attractions: Operating since 1869, the market of Campo dei Fiori is alive with colorful flower vendors and beautiful locally grown produce. Interestingly, the streets of this area are named after the artisans who traditionally occupied them such as Via dei Cappellari (hatters), Via dei Baullari (trunk makers) and Via dei Chiavari (key makers). For some of the best foccacia bread in the city, stop in at Forno Campo de’ Fiori for a warm slice. The Rigatoni all’Amatriciana at the famous La Carbonara Restaurant is a dish worth writing home about.

There is a fresh fruit and vegetable market every morning in the Piazza.

Overall:
We loved the location--it was right in the heart of everything, near shops and the markets. We felt safe and comfortable and would be happy to stay there again. Hassan, the property manager, was there to greet us as we arrived, helped us bring our suitcases up, and made sure we knew how to use everything.
Enjoyed Most:
The patio was very nice, and the rooms were all decorated beautifully. The building was safe and clean and in a great location. We had plenty of space and there were lots of extra blankets and pillows. It was easy to go upstairs in the morning and enjoy the kitchen and living room/patio and let the rest of the family sleep downstairs. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was stocked with basic spices and there was dishwashing/laundry soap.
Enjoyed Least:
From one of the bedrooms there was a lot of street noise, especially on the weekend. We were glad we had a travel-sized white noise machine. The showers were very narrow.
Surrounding Area:
The apartment is steps away from shops, boutiques, and restaurants. The Campo dei Fiori is very near. There were lots of easy nearby options for eating, buying groceries, and shopping.
Tips or Restaurants:
Definitely bring earplugs or a white noise machine. Tons of good restaurants around.
Directions:
We had no problems as Hassan met our taxi.
Check In Out:
Hassan made it as easy as possible. We were very happy with the check in/check out process.

Overall:
Very Roman. The apartment was just as advertised and better than the photos indicated. Bright and airy, with a very lively terrace. Facilities were roomy and private. Open air circulation avoided the need for any air conditioning although it was very warm (upper 80's F). This is a great location, being just across the Tiber from Trastevere where the best retaurants are located and most locals eat.
Enjoyed Most:
Location, space and air. The terrace was a delight. (I am not talking aboiut a "view". There was no "view", just a wonderful openess.)
Enjoyed Least:
1. Lack of water pressure made the showering difficult. 2. Great location, but noisy with the windows open, being just above a busy (at all hours) street. Chalk this up to part of the experience and not a bad trade off for not having to use the A/C.
Surrounding Area:
Dining and proximity of sights. Very local, not at all touristy.
Tips or Restaurants:
Trastevere is the place ot eat and relax with the locals.
Directions:
Taxi driver took us to the end of the block. Rome is no place for un-initiated drivers.
