About The Experience
From the private terrace of this vacation rental along the Amalfi Coast you’ll be able gaze over the town of Positano and the sea while dining at the outdoor tables or lounging in the sun. This self-catering accommodation is just the place for two couples traveling together. The town and beach can be reached by foot.
Location Description

The property is located within walking distance of the center of Positano where there are restaurants, shops, ice creameries, markets, a bank, post office, and the Spiaggia Grande Beach further down the pedestrian road. There are also bus stops in town that can take you up and down to other beautiful towns along the coast, including Amalfi. Amalfi is a town that dates back to the 6th century and was once an important trading center with historical and medieval architecture throughout the town. The main sites include the Duomo, in Amalfi's center, the cathedral of Sant' Andrea, which dates back to the 11th century, and the Cloister of Paradise. There is also a museum dedicated to the works of Morelli and a museum where you can view artifacts of Amalfi's long and interesting history. During the summer months, there are daily ferries leaving from Positano to Capri, Sorrento, and Naples.

Please Note: While the Amalfi Coast is beautiful and charming, it is also steep, with many uphill and downhill stairs and walkways. In general, it is an area that is not kind to those of us with knee or mobility issues. This should be considered before booking a property in this area.

Nearby Attractions: shops, restaurants, cafes, markets, the beach, bus stop, Amalfi (Duomo, ancient cathedral, museums, ferries), Ravello, Sorrento, Naples airport.

Customer Reviews

Enjoyed Most:
Outside patio was nice as was the view from it. Walking distance to downtown Positano and the richness of Positano's shops and restaurant alternatives.
Enjoyed Least:
Living room was dated.
Surrounding Area:
Ravello is the most laid back, scenic, and enjoyable - a real gem. Capri is great for shopping, but Anacapri much more quaint and laid back. Positano is active and has abundant restaurants and solid shopping. Amalfi we found touristy and over-crowded even in October.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. Well within walking distance though a lot of steps. Usually walked down to the village, and took a taxi back up. The younger among us walked in both directions but the steps can be daunting particularly if one chooses a challenging path!
Tips or Restaurants:
Many great restaurants depending upon your budget. We are convinced that October is a great month to visit. A little better rates late in the season and more importantly fewer crowds. I can't imagine what it would be like in mid-summer.
Directions:
Used limousine services from and to the Naples airport.
Check In Out:
Adequate. Might be improved by providing more specific information about the locale.

Overall:
Great second stay, with a couple minor issues.
Enjoyed Most:
The view was fabulous and we were taken care of.
Enjoyed Least:
Due to direct sun, the porch really needs an umbrella in order to be enjoyed during the day.
Surrounding Area:
Loved every bit - visiting adjoining areas and just walking downtown.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Downtown Positano, I guess.
Tips or Restaurants:
Great restaurants are everywhere - our favorite is Positano was Mediterraneao
Directions:
We had no problems because we had been there before.
Check In Out:
No problems with this.

Overall:
Excellent.
Enjoyed Most:
The view, the comfortable living room, and the outside areas. The steps are not a problem if you're in reasonable shape.
Enjoyed Least:
The tiny, poorly-equipped kitchen.
Surrounding Area:
The sea, the views. Positano is restaurants, shops, and tourists, but we took the boat to Amalfi three times and saw a lot there. Check out the paper museum there. We could have easily gone to Sorrento and Capri, too, but didn't have time.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano was daunting to walk in at first--no sidewalks, so you have to compete with cars and buses, and of course, you're always going either up or down hill. But you get used to it after a few days.
Tips or Restaurants:
Mosquito repellent.
Directions:
We arranged for a driver through RentVillas to pick us up at the train station in Naples, and he had no trouble finding Parking Anna, which is on the street near the apartment.
Check In Out:
Check in/out was good for us. The property manager came immediately when the driver called her, and the porter (also arranged through RentVillas) carried our luggage up the stairs. We had arranged for some groceries to be delivered and they were waiting for us; this was a very nice as it was too late to find the store by ourselves.
