Well-suited for a family or a group of friends, this modern villa has lovely views of the Mediterranean and the small bay of Almyrida, a seaside fishing village that is a short walk away. You can walk to a sandy beach, to traditional tavernas serving fresh caught fish and local produce, and to food shops and cafes. This villa is well-located for exploring some of Crete’s scenic towns, traditional handicrafts, the White Mountains, and the island’s western coast.
Location Description

This villa is located on the western side of Crete just minutes from sandy beaches and the fishing village of Almyrida. Almyrida has traditional tavernas serving fresh fish and local produce, coffee shops that transform into bars at night, shops, and markets. There’s also a lovely waterfront with clear water. For the adventurous, you can find windsurfing, snorkeling, and canoe rental facilities in town. Four kilometers inland, the village of Gavalohori makes a great excursion, with narrow streets filled with buildings from the Byzantine, Venetian, and Turkish eras, a folklore museum, and views of the White Mountains. Chania, the second largest town on Crete, is 25 kilometers away and offers many more sights.

This recently constructed villa is higher than the street to provide privacy and views of the sea. The outside area is lined with local stones, and is planted with flowers and herbs, including thyme, marjoram, oregano, peppermint, and aromatic jasmine. There is a private pool (6 x 4m, open April through October) with sun beds and umbrellas nearby. The exterior of the house has two balconies to further enjoy the views.
Interior Description

(200 m2)
Ground Floor: This floor has three bedrooms, each with air conditioning and a wardrobe. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. The second bedroom has a standard double bed (140 cm, comfortable for one, cozy for two). The third bedroom has twin-beds (90 cm) that can be arranged together, upon prior request, to form a king-size bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. There is an additional bathroom with a bathtub, sink, and toilet.

First Floor: A stone staircase leads to this floor, which has a living room with a fireplace, satellite TV, sofa bed (most comfortable for one), and access to a balcony with sea views, table and chairs for al fresco dining, and a barbecue. Attached to the living room, there is a dining area with table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a toaster, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, and oven. There is a bedroom on this floor with twin-beds (90 cm) that can be arranged together, upon prior request, to form a king-size bed.
