Location Description

The property is located two kilometers from the village of Cabrieres d'Avignon, which can be reached on foot via a small road. Cabrieres is a pleasant village great for leisurely strolls where you're sure to pass ancient houses dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. On your walk you'll also see the Wall of Plague, which was built to protect the people from the Comtat of the Big Plague of Marseille of 1720. A short drive from the house will take you to Gordes, a hilltop village that was a stronghold of resistance during WWII. Though much of the village was destroyed, its inhabitants have carefully restored each item to its former glory. Today, it is one of the most popular villages in Provence, with a wonderful castle, arcaded streets, museums, and musical concerts. Of course there are also all the necessary shops, as well as some delicious restaurants! A train station is located in Avignon should you want to travel a bit further without having to worry about driving.

Exterior Description
(1.8 hectares/4.4 acres) Located in the protected Parc National du Luberon, this villa features a Provencal garden planted with box and olive trees, pines, oaks, roses, and cypresses. The garden overlooks the Luberon Mountains and the surrounding countryside and has a private swimming pool (4.5m x 11m) with a fitted pool house with a small kitchen area, a gas barbecue, and an outdoor shower. A wine cellar can be found at the rear of the property and at the front of the property, built into the villa, is a double garage. The villa features an automat ic gate and automatic watering systems on the property.
Interior Description
(250 m2/2,690 ft2)
Ground Floor: The villa’s living room features striking cathedral ceilings making the living space bright and open. The living room has two large sofas, a working fireplace, the TV, access to the library room, and a large dining room table for up to ten people. The kitchen, entered through the curved doorway of the living room’s red accent wall, is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven, toaster, coffee maker, juicer, steam cooker, rice cooker, blender, and built in wine cooler. A separate laundry room has the washing machine, clothes dryer, and iron and board and there is a guest bathroom with a toilet. There are two bedrooms on this level. The first has a queen size bed (160 cm) with an en suite bathroom with a shower and bathtub and a separate toilet. This bedroom has French doors leading to the main terrace. The second bedroom has a queen size bed (160 cm; beds can be separated upon prior request) with an en suite bathroom with a shower.
First Floor: The master bedroom is on this floor, accessed by a stone staircase. It features a king size bed (180 cm) and a large en suite bathroom with a shower. It has a separate dressing and toilet room. A lovely terrace/solarium is accessed from the master bedroom and has views over the Luberon. Annex ‘la borie’: This stone cottage annex is attached to the main villa and is ideal for young adults. The fourth bedroom has a standard double bed (140 cm; comfy for one, cozy for two) with an en suite bathroom with a shower. A loft features a standard double bed (140 cm; comfy for one, cozy for two).
