Customer Reviews

Overall:
We had a great experience at the property. There was some uncertainty, since there were no reviews online at the time we rented. Photos can be deceiving, but the pics of the property were about as accurate as you can get, and pretty much better than anything I tried to take myself. Check in was easy, and, the manager, Fortunata was helpful throughout our stay. The place is just lovely. The villa itself is beautiful, with amazing views. The pool was clean, large enough, and well maintained. The kitchens and bathrooms met or exceeded our expectations. In fact, there was a bit more room than was described on the website. It was especially nice to have two bathrooms in both units. We didn't cook much (just light breakfast), but the facilities are there and well stocked if you want to do that. I can't stress enough how spectacular the view is. You have an excellent view of Positano, and the coast all the way to and including Capri, as well as a view of the town of Priano below you.
Enjoyed Most:
The spectacular view, the peace and quiet, and how well designed and maintained the place is.
Enjoyed Least:
WiFi was spotty, and apparently that is because the internet service is by DSL. When there is a lot of telephone traffic, WiFi is slow or stops altogether. They were digging up a lot of the streets when we were there, and the IT person for the property told may they are laying fiberoptic cables now, so hopefully the WiFi service will be better in the future.
Surrounding Area:
The town of Priano is relatively quiet and slow paced compared to Positano. You still have pretty easy access to Positano and Amalfi by bus or boat. Both are only a few kilometers away. We liked it because of the slow pace, but those wanting a busier or more hectic environment probably might find it too slow. Getting around isn't that easy because the town is set into a steep hillside, like most of that area. It was easy to walk from the villa down to most places, but walking back up would be challenging. We found it pretty easy to take the local bus for 1.2 euros if we needed to get back up to the villa. There were many good restaurants in the area, and all but a few offered a free car service to come get you and take you back, so that never presented a problem.
Nearby Events or Locales:
In theory, you could walk to Positano, which was a 2.5 hr walk according to what I read. I wouldn't recommend it, since the roads are narrow and curvy, and the sidewalks are small to nonexistent. There is regular bus service or you can take a cab or a private car. You can drive, but parking in Positano looks like it is almost impossible.
Tips or Restaurants:
All the restaurants we went to were very good to excellent. I would recommend Il Pirata, which is down by the marina. We ate there the first night after we got there, and it may have been the best or second best place we went. Unfortunately we discovered La Moressa toward the end of our trip, and I would have gone there more if we had found it earlier. It is an easy downhill walk from the villa, then up a flight of stairs. It is over the closest and largest market that we found in the area (the market will drive you back to the villa as well!). La Moressa had the most varied menu, and great food and service. They also serve American style breakfast, something we didn't see anywhere else in Praiano. It isn't quite what we see in American restaurants, but it is fairly close. We also had a couple of very nice meals at a hotel restaurant. I think it is called Tramonte di Oro or something close to that. They served a fish dish that was something I hadn't seen before. It was Sea Bream that was baked in a crust of salt that was about 12 inch thick around the entire fish. It didn't taste salty, and the fish was incredibly moist and tasty. By the way, most of the menus of the restaurants there are loaded with seafood and pastas. We didn't even try any meat dishes while we were there. We didn't need to bring anything extra. In fact, the website needs to be d. There is a washer and dryer there, so cleaning your clothes is no problem. There also are hair dryers and irons.

We had a driver who met us Naples. It was painless.

Fantastic!

Absolutely beautiful. The pool was the perfect oasis.
Surrounding Area:
Good location between towns (Positano, Amalfi). Ravello a must.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. No.
Tips or Restaurants:
Be prepared for walking up steps. It's very doable. I found bus schedules online in advance of our trip. Very helpful.
Directions:
We used a limo service. The drop off was perfect.

Overall:
Simply amazing. No complaints whatsoever.
Enjoyed Most:
The view and feeling of privacy were fantastic.
Enjoyed Least:
Although the location is sublime, there are a LOT of stairs to get there. Nothing to complain about though, the exercise is much needed after all the amazing local food.
Surrounding Area:
The scenery and culture is fantastic.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Praiano. And yes.
Tips or Restaurants:
Sunscreen! There's tons of good restaurants in the area, but it's a good idea to keep a couple things stocked in the fridge as basking by the pool is a MUST while you are on this beautiful property. The grocery store halfway down the slope called Tutti X Tutti has some nice items, and can give you a ride back up the hill.
Directions:
Not really, we didn't have much trouble finding it, or directing other people to it.
Check In Out:
Everything was wonderful.
