Customer Reviews

Overall:
Prefect! Everything that I had expected and much, much more!
Enjoyed Most:
Everything, the villa was wonderful, the view, Cortona and its residents. Thank you, Sarah and RentVillas, for this fantastic adventure.
Surrounding Area:
The town and its residents, shopping, exploring and easy access to the train.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Trentola, no.
Tips or Restaurants:
Just bring personal items and clothing. The villa was fully equiped for showering, cooking and Internet
Directions:
We took the train to Cortona, and then a taxi to the villa.

Overall:
It was a fabulous experience that I would recommend to anyone!
Enjoyed Most:
The view from the villa was breathtaking! We loved sitting out on the terrace just enjoying Cortona.
Enjoyed Least:
There was honestly not one thing we disliked about the villa!
Surrounding Area:
Cortona is a magnificent area and we loved strolling through the Italian streets and visiting all of the sights.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Camucia was probably the nearest town. We had to take a bus or taxi to the train station in Camucia. The most inconvenient part of our stay was having to take transportation everywhere we went. However, the peace and quiet of Cortona was wonderful!
Tips or Restaurants:
It should be noted that a converter/adapter is needed for these villas. They do not have American plugs. However, other than that everything you need is provided. We ate at several restaurants in Cortona and each one was fantastic! FufLuns had outstanding food as well as the Cafe at Signorelli Theatre.
Directions:
We had a taxi pick us up from the Camucia-Cortona train station and take us directly to the villa so we really didn't have to use the directions.
Check In Out:
We were late checking in because of an issue we encountered in Rome and Francesca was extremely helpful over the phone and even arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the train station at 10:30 p.m. and bring us to the villa. She speaks very good English and was eager to help with directions, recommendations, etc.

Overall:
Wonderful. We found the kitchen to be much better equipped than we'd anticipated; it actually has a stove and utensils, etc and I cooked for neighbours. It was lovely to stand by the villa gates in the evening with a glas of wine and enjoy the wonderful view overlooking Tuscany and the lake.
Enjoyed Most:
We liked the location inside the walls of Cortona and close proximity to local bus and train.
Surrounding Area:
The history, views, and friendliness of the majority of the locals.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Cortona is about two hundred metres away and has wonderful produce, restaurants, and coffee.
Tips or Restaurants:
Good walking shoes; be prepared to do a lot of walking up and down hills.
Directions:
We caught the local train from Rome, changed at Chiusi then disembarked at Camucia and caught the local bus from the station up to Cortona. The villa is a short walk (two hundred meters) from where the bus terminates and we phoned the owner, who knew we were coming and was very helpful.

Overall:
It was a great place to stay. Close to town, and close to surrounding cities.
Enjoyed Most:
Central location. Right in town.
Enjoyed Least:
Paper thin walls. We heard EVERYTHING.
Surrounding Area:
The history of the town- the views of the town.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We had breakfast every morning at a different cafe in town.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring toiletries including toilet paper. All places to eat are wonderful, and the people of Cortona are so friendly! Must go to Enotecca Wine shop and ask for Gabriella.
Directions:
Bring a GPS- it is worth it!!!

Overall:
Apartment was nicely and tastefully decorated. Good location in town-easily accessible to city center but away from noise - and less than 5 minute walk. It was a cool inside even when it was hot outside.
Enjoyed Most:
Outside area for having coffee in morning and wine in afternoon.
Enjoyed Least:
Noise from adjoining apartment entrance.
Surrounding Area:
Great location for visiting other hill top towns - very centrally located.
Tips or Restaurants:
Apartment was fully furnished with everything needed for making coffee and light cooking. All of the property manager's recommendations for restaurants were exceptional and she lives in the building if you have a question. Instructions for washer are on top of machine - we didn't see them for the first few days.
Directions:
We used GPS and it lead us right to the street. I would add that Via San Sebastiano makes a left hand turn before you get to apartment.
