Customer Reviews

Overall:
Overall magical.
Enjoyed Most:
Views and the multiplicity of 'zones' where people can spend their time.
Enjoyed Least:
The WiFi was weak and available only in a little corner of the building. Also the kitchen was only OK; the freezer didn't work very well.
Surrounding Area:
It is marvelous on all dimensions.
Nearby Events or Locales:
It wasn't within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
Think through what you want to do for food. Delivery was super limited and most restaurants were a bit of a drive.
Directions:
Detailed maps are needed. The GPS didn't work on many GPS systems. But we all made it!
Check In Out:
It was very simple.

Overall:
A truly beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Enjoyed Most:
The view was spectacular and the bedrooms and ensuites were first class.
Enjoyed Least:
The kitchen was tiny and there was no living room, although there were plenty of outdoor areas. But in the cold or wet weather, with a small kitchen, there was no common area.
Surrounding Area:
The view and the local restaurants.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Massa Lubrense. No.
Tips or Restaurants:
Be aware that the written instructions are for the agent who then takes you to the property.

Overall:
Outstanding. Staying at Villa Procida was a wonderful experience for our entire family. Everyone enjoyed the pool, the outdoor sitting areas, the dining area and the magnificent vistas from the porch.
Enjoyed Most:
Many things stood out about this villa, but the vista was a winner. We could see the Isle of Capri, local villages, Sorrento and far off in the distance, Naples and Vesuvius.
Enjoyed Least:
There were really few negatives about the villa. The neighboring dogs barked at odd hours, and early in the morning, the weed whippers would start in. It was a little irritating to be woken by workers weed whipping neighboring property. There was also a small amount of frustration with the electricity fees. We recognize there should be an fee for exceeding reasonable usage, but we never used the air conditioners and didn't seem to use much electricity and yet the fees were unavoidable.
Surrounding Area:
The views were great. It was easy to get to Sorrento and there were plenty of other options for visiting Amalfi Coast towns or Capri. We enjoyed visiting the small groceries and shops near our villa and in Massa Lubrense. We also like visiting Marina Di Cantone.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We could walk to Annuziata which was a small, lovely little village with a nice restaurant.
Tips or Restaurants:
Yes, when we went to Positano we also drove above the village to Montepertoso and had an excellent meal at La Tagliata. From our table, we looked out at the sea and also Positano. The food was served family style. It was good and reasonably priced. One evening, we also had a chef (Pasquale) come to villa and cook and it was a great experience. The meal was a trip highlight and again, it was reasonably priced.
Directions:
We did not use a GPS. We found the villa with a small amount of difficulty. It helped so much that Francesca was available to help lead us to the villa. The only place the directions failed us were when we got to Massa Lubrense. The signs did not exactly say what the directions suggested and we needed some luck and Francesca's help.
Check In Out:
Francesca made both the check in and the check out very easy and friendly.

Overall:
Excellent. The property was plenty large to hold 15 people. We could all be together and yet if someone wanted a little time alone, there was room to be by himself/herself.
Enjoyed Most:
The swimmming pool area was fantastic. The pool was large, nicely sloped for depth and there were plenty of chairs for everyone. Also, the patio area where we ate everyday - be it lunch or dinner - was huge. We had a table set for 15 and it was a wonderful gathering spot. There was plenty of room elsewhere on the patio for drinks, cards, etc. The dishwasher! It has a 2 1/2 minute cylce. As such, it was very easy to clean up after meals and we always had a clean kitchen. With 15 people the ability to quicky run dishes and keep the process going was huge. Finally the views of Capri were stunning. Oh, please extend our thanks to Pasquale who stopped by every evening to check on us, answer questions and assist with any reservations needed.
Enjoyed Least:
Personally, I only had one hot shower. Perhaps the hot water only went on at 6:30 am? I felt like I was at camp. The kitchen was difficult to work around - poor layout. However, it was well stocked with the exception of horrendous knives. The washing machine has a TWO HOUR cylce. This inhibited people from getting wash done when we were on the move and someone else already got their wash in at 700 am.
Surrounding Area:
Beautiful views. The whole settng was very relaxing.
Nearby Events or Locales:
St Agata is where we ended up doing our grocery shopping. It was a 15 minute drive. The villa is not close to any towns and requires driving.
Tips or Restaurants:
I'd say bring a good kitchen knife, but that would get you arrested at the airport. The owners kindly provided pool towels so renters do not need to bring those. Something we found out from Pasquale: a liquor store in St Agata will deliver wine and beer. No need to make a run yourself if you can provide directon on your price, white or red, and the type of wine you like.
Directions:
We did have a GPS, but with all of the twists and turns it often needed to "reset" and as such, was not providing the guidance we needed.
Check In Out:
We arrived late and they were very gracious about it.

Overall:
Wonderful!
Enjoyed Most:
Individual bathrooms and AC unit. Daily maid service. Pool and property - lemon trees, foliage.
Enjoyed Least:
No common inside living area. Getting up the driveway was a challenge.
Surrounding Area:
Very picturesque and quiet.
Tips or Restaurants:
Restaurants Picnic, Il Primivera. Use local Chef Pasquale. Excellent food, great guy, and reasonable price.
Directions:
Used GPS
Check In Out:
A little awkward that owners were there when we arrived and came by to visit the night we were trying to pack and leave. Also, electricity charges were assessed if we went over a certain amount. Wish it had been built into the cost like the other Villa.
