Customer Reviews

Overall:
This is the third time we have rented from RentVillas. The properties always look just like the photos and we are always greeted warmly and given proper directions to use the villa.
Enjoyed Most:
The view!
Enjoyed Least:
The steps! They were really difficult in the beginning, especially dragging the luggage up but by the end they got a lot easier. I would recommend a working flashlight for after dark.
Surrounding Area:
Excellent location, could walk to a few restaurants and a grocery easily. We really liked the local spot Il Fornillo for pizza or a light bite. Cappuccinos and croissants were a quick walk up the hill. It was about a 20 minute down to the beach area for us.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano and yes, it was walkable. Only took a taxi once all week. The internal bus is right outside the door, but we never used it.
Tips or Restaurants:
Be sure and go to Next2. ( a five minute walk) We tried them all and it was definitely the top one!
Directions:
The driver took us right to the front steps.
Check In Out:
It worked great!

Overall:
Excellent, breathtaking view, easy to get around but a lot of walking and steps.
Enjoyed Most:
View, cleanliness. Proximity to restaurants and shopping.
Enjoyed Least:
Stairs but that is what Positano is!
Surrounding Area:
Ease of ferry use to Capri.

Overall:
Very satisfying. Loved the apartment and location. The apartment has a beautiful, vaulted ceiling and is a well furnished home away from home. Great place, I'd live there if given the chance. Everything about our stay in Positano was exceptional.
Enjoyed Most:
clean, bright, airy with a view to kill for, quiet, central, cool, well equipped, good WiFi, great sound system and cable. Apt was beautifully renovated with new bathrooms. The washing machine was a plus.
Surrounding Area:
Very pleasant walk to the beach, even if we trekked down countless steps. Easy walk to the best restaurants and food stores. Easy drive to Sorrento and other great spots. By boat you can go anywhere.
Nearby Events or Locales:
In the heart of Positano, the centre of the universe on the Amalfi Coast.
Tips or Restaurants:
Da Vincenzo's. Best of the best. Ask for Luca, and say hi from Grace and Lenny from Canada.
Directions:
We used both GPS and your written directions that did the trick. No problem finding the place.
Check In Out:
All went well. Filomena was great and looked after everything on our arrival.

Overall:
The flat was ADORABLE. I would DEFINITELY rent through rentvillas.com again. We were very pleased with the experience as well as the apartment-style vacationing. Thank you!
Enjoyed Most:
The women who met us were lovely. Everything was very clean. Excellent location. Just far enough away from the tourists to give you a more local feel, and close enough to the bus that goes throughout Positano to make it accessible. The flat had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a little kitchen with some provisions and a beautiful view. My husband and I would make coffee in the mornings and sit on the balcony. Delightful.
Enjoyed Least:
I wish that the fee for heat had been included in the price. I did know up front that the charge was extra, however.
Tips or Restaurants:
A lot of the restaurants will come to pick you up in their car. They had NO IDEA where the apartment was. There was a Best Western property up the street. We told them that hotel and met them there. My advice? Do NOT rent a car. Have a driver meet you at the airport and pick you up (if you're staying solely on the Amalfi Coast). It is VERY confusing to drive, and there is not much in the way of parking. There is PLENTY of public transportation. Restaurants in the area? -C'era Una Volta: Just up the steps from the flat. Good, solid food, and the waiter complimented my Italian. We went back in the morning for coffee. :) -Da Costantino: Was solidly good. Great? No. But a good, solid Italian meal. -La Tagliata: AMAZING. No menu, just what they have that night. The family who owns it is delightful. They make sure everyone has a good time. -Next 2: Just DOWN the steps from the flat. Delicious, a touch more upscale. I was pleasantly surprised. -Bruno: Sit outside and watch the sun set. We had lunch at Il San Pietro. This is a MUCH cheaper way to see this beautiful hotel. Yum. Any restaurant at the bottom of the town by the beach was, not surprisingly, touristy and expensive. Food was fine, not great. If you go: Capri: We LOVED a little hotel called JK Place for lunch. We happened on it by accident. Sat on the deck, overlooking the Mediterranean and had the most amazing coffee and lunch. Sat for 3 hours. Ravello: The gardens are not to be missed. Breathtaking. And we went off-season, I can not even imagine what they look like in full bloom. Finally, we met a friend. His name is Tony, and he is a taxi driver. However, he also arranged a wine tour for us at Tenuta San Francesco, as well as took us to Ravello, which was the best part of our trip. I HIGHLY recommend him. He is reasonable and just a wonderful person. He is very knowledgeable about the region. We are still in contact. info@positanotonytaxi.com (You will thank me)
