Customer Reviews

Enjoyed Most:
Outside patio was nice as was the view from it. Walking distance to downtown Positano and the richness of Positano's shops and restaurant alternatives.
Enjoyed Least:
Living room was dated.
Surrounding Area:
Ravello is the most laid back, scenic, and enjoyable - a real gem. Capri is great for shopping, but Anacapri much more quaint and laid back. Positano is active and has abundant restaurants and solid shopping. Amalfi we found touristy and over-crowded even in October.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. Well within walking distance though a lot of steps. Usually walked down to the village, and took a taxi back up. The younger among us walked in both directions but the steps can be daunting particularly if one chooses a challenging path!
Tips or Restaurants:
Many great restaurants depending upon your budget. We are convinced that October is a great month to visit. A little better rates late in the season and more importantly fewer crowds. I can't imagine what it would be like in mid-summer.
Directions:
Used limousine services from and to the Naples airport.
Check In Out:
Adequate. Might be improved by providing more specific information about the locale.

Del, October

Overall:
Great second stay, with a couple minor issues.
Enjoyed Most:
The view was fabulous and we were taken care of.
Enjoyed Least:
Due to direct sun, the porch really needs an umbrella in order to be enjoyed during the day.
Surrounding Area:
Loved every bit - visiting adjoining areas and just walking downtown.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Downtown Positano, I guess.
Tips or Restaurants:
Great restaurants are everywhere - our favorite is Positano was Mediterraneao
Directions:
We had no problems because we had been there before.
Check In Out:
No problems with this.

Elizabeth, October

Overall:
Excellent.
Enjoyed Most:
The view, the comfortable living room, and the outside areas. The steps are not a problem if you're in reasonable shape.
Enjoyed Least:
The tiny, poorly-equipped kitchen.
Surrounding Area:
The sea, the views. Positano is restaurants, shops, and tourists, but we took the boat to Amalfi three times and saw a lot there. Check out the paper museum there. We could have easily gone to Sorrento and Capri, too, but didn't have time.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano was daunting to walk in at first--no sidewalks, so you have to compete with cars and buses, and of course, you're always going either up or down hill. But you get used to it after a few days.
Tips or Restaurants:
Mosquito repellent.
Directions:
We arranged for a driver through RentVillas to pick us up at the train station in Naples, and he had no trouble finding Parking Anna, which is on the street near the apartment.
Check In Out:
Check in/out was good for us. The property manager came immediately when the driver called her, and the porter (also arranged through RentVillas) carried our luggage up the stairs. We had arranged for some groceries to be delivered and they were waiting for us; this was a very nice as it was too late to find the store by ourselves.

Overall:
Nice location in Positano with an amazing view.
Enjoyed Most:
The view!
Enjoyed Least:
The kitchen is quite small. We wanted to eat breakfast in the unit each day and appetizers/wine but the kitchen lacks some basic utensils such as sharp chef knives to chop produce. Editor's Note: A chef's knife has been installed in the apartment. August, 2016.
Surrounding Area:
It's a beautiful location with great beaches and restaurants.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano, yes, you need to like lots of steps!
Tips or Restaurants:
Flashlight for the steps in the evening and to read at night on the patio.
Directions:
Easy to find with GPS.
Check In Out:
Our check in person was late. After agreeing to a time, we waited for more than 45 minutes on the street with our suitcases.

Cyndi, July

Overall:
We were traveling with another couple and we all loved Positano Miramare even with the steps (83 stone steps!!) The town of Positano can be very busy, but this villa gets you away from that. The interior is comfortable, but the VIEW from the terrace is stupendous, as good as any in Positano, even the very pricey hotels. Parking is nearby and Parking Anna is a jewel.
Enjoyed Most:
The view, the terrace, spacious bedrooms, washing machine, nearby parking
Enjoyed Least:
STEPS
Surrounding Area:
Positano is a perfect location to explore other towns on the Amalfi coast. Not as big or crowded as Sorrento or Amalfi, but those are definitely places to visit.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring laundry products and a flashlight for the stairs at night. Driving Positano is daunting to say the least, but we would venture out during the day and then just walk down the hill at night for dinner where there are several good restaurants. There is a local bus which circles in the town of Positano and a bus stop right by the villa.
Check In Out:
Very accommodating.

Mary Jo, October

Overall:
Wonderful time.
Enjoyed Most:
View.
Enjoyed Least:
Firm bed.
Surrounding Area:
The beauty and the excellent restaurants.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. Yes
Tips or Restaurants:
Very good restaurants within walking distance.
Directions:
A GPS is a must! Just look for Anna's Parking and don't worry. They were extremely helpful.
Check In Out:
You feel unsure but it all works out fine.

Virginia, October

Overall:
The property was very clean, well maintained and very secure.
Enjoyed Most:
The views from our bedrooms and from the balcony were breathtaking.
Enjoyed Least:
There are 83 steps from the street to the front door. The first day is a little challenging, but after a few days you get used to it. Wear comfortable shoes.
Surrounding Area:
Positano is absolutely beautiful! The are plenty of restaurants and shopping available. It was very easy to get around the area.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano was the nearest town and was a 10 minute walk from our villa.
Tips or Restaurants:
Wear comfortable shoes--a must as you will be doing quite a bit of walking. Best deal in town is La Tagliata, all you can eat and drink, only 34 euros per person. Don't forget your bug spray, the mosquitoes do come out at dusk.
Directions:
Directions were very easy. We hired a car to pick us up at the Naples airport and drop us off. We used Joe Banana Limos, highly recommended.
Check In Out:
Check in and check were very easy. We had a great time!

Dennis, September

Overall:
The property was more than I expected!! The experience with the villa was unforgettabl. The views and overall accommodations were exceptional and will be recommended to others.
Enjoyed Most:
The views.
Surrounding Area:
Love Positano...one of my favorite places in the world.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano, and yes, the location was superb..
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring your ability to walk!!
Directions:
Yes, we used GPS and found the property with ease..
Check In Out:
Check in and check out was a great experience; the local agent was very accommodating and helpful.

Darin, June

Overall:
It was great.
Enjoyed Most:
The view was breathtaking.
Enjoyed Least:
The stairs. The number of steps required to access the villa would be challenging for someone older or out of share. Large luggage requires a porter to make the climb.
Surrounding Area:
It was relaxing, with easy access to Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi and Pompeii.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano is an easy walk down. It's 15-20 minutes, but once again you have to go back up the hill to the villa, plus climb the steps.
Tips or Restaurants:
Don't buy tickets to the blue grotto in Positano; wait until arrival in Capri to ensure access.
Directions:
Used GPS. The woman who greeted us was very helpful.
Check In Out:
Easy and efficient.

Bob, June

Overall:
We had a very nice experience at the property.
Enjoyed Most:
We absolutely loved the private balcony. It was very spacious and had a magnificent view.
Enjoyed Least:
Climbing the steps to get to the property (83 steps). It would be very difficult for someone who isn't fit. Also, the light at the front door did not stay on, so it was dark at night when we climbed back up the steps on our return home.
Surrounding Area:
The town of Positano is very charming and all of the little towns around Positano are easy to get to by bus or boat and are worth visiting, especially Amalfi and Ravello.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The apartment is located in the town of Positano, walking distance to the charming central area near the beach. There is also a bus stop at the bottom of the stairs and the bus can take you to the central area.
Tips or Restaurants:
If you have a smartphone, get a flashlight app in order to see as you climb the stairs at night. If not, bring a small flash light. Most of the restaurants are in the central area. My favorite ones were in the hotels "Villa Franca", near the property, and "Le Sirenuse". Also the Hotel Positano near the property has a nice breakfast buffet.
Directions:
We had a driver but would have had a problem without GPS.
Check In Out:
Definitely ask for a porter to help carry the luggage up the stairs. It cost us 25 Euros but was well worth the price.

Marsha, April

Overall:
The property was cute with great views and also very clean and well-kept thanks to Teresa who came in every other day to take care of everything. Good location, close to the grocery and some restaurants. Very much appreciate having the satellite TV and WiFi, as it rained most of the days we were there.
Enjoyed Most:
The terrace, which you could get to from the bedrooms as well as the living area.
Surrounding Area:
Positano is a great location and the town itself has many wonderful restaurants and shops. From Positano you can travel to several other towns by bus which is easy and fun.
Tips or Restaurants:
In Positano all of the restaurants on the beach were excellent, highly recommended.
Directions:
We hired a car service from the airport in Naples.
