Customer Reviews

Overall:
The overall experience was very good. It is a beautiful place with excellent accessibility to the town.
Enjoyed Most:
I liked the pool, interior rooms and location. I also liked Gabrielle's responsiveness to certain issues that arose.
Enjoyed Least:
The extra charges for using the hot tub and the Nespresso coffee machine. Editor's Note: The cost for hot tub usage is 100 Euros/day; for a full week's usage (24 hours/day), the cost is 400 Euros, total. Nespresso coffee pods are 1 Euro each, payable upon departure; a number of different roasts are available to suit individual tastes. August, 2016.
Surrounding Area:
The town of Taormina is beautiful with lots of excellent restaurants.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Taormina. Yes.
Tips or Restaurants:
All the restaurants that we found by ourselves in town were excellent.
Directions:
The parking for the villa is behind the property.

Overall:
The villa was all that I hoped it would be and more.
Enjoyed Most:
The overall beauty of the villa.
Surrounding Area:
The beauty of the area.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Taormina. Yes, but impossibe to walk to for an older person. The hills were very, very steep. We had to be very creative about how to get there, since the parking was non existent.
Tips or Restaurants:
I thought the villa was very equipped.
Directions:
It was a little difficult to get to and we used the GPS at all times.
Check In Out:
The check in and check out process was no problem. Gabriel was perfect.

Overall:
Very nice and pleasant.
Enjoyed Most:
The outdoor area.
Enjoyed Least:
Hard to find and steep hills.
Surrounding Area:
Beautiful view of ocean.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Taormina was the nearest small town and it was within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
Older folks should know that hills are very steep to walk up and down to town and that unless they are in really good athletic shape they will probably not be able to do the walk. Good for everyone else who wants exercise after a great dinner!
Directions:
We used our own iPhone GPS and still couldn't find the exact place. We got very close but still had to have someone come out and show us where to park the car.
Check In Out:
No. That process went very well. They were so very nice. They were very accommodating.

Overall:
The villa was very nice, a touch of old world charm with some modern amenities. The pool is the star attraction.
Enjoyed Most:
Kitchen overlooking the pool and deck which overlooked the town and sea. very quiet, except for the barking dogs down below but generally quiet, safe and secure.
Enjoyed Least:
Ground floor bedrooms have a peculiar layout. Didn't see the value of the mandatory maid/cleaning service (300 Euros) forced on the guests 5 days a week. We were 9 people and really didn't need a cleaning every day. The cleaning staff also kept irregular hours, arriving at different times each day. It was a bit awkward having someone flitting around while we lounged by the pool or napped.
Surrounding Area:
Beautiful view and an easy walk to the grocery store for supplies.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Located in Taormina. It was a challenging walk to town, better downhill than up. The evening return was always a dreaded challenge.
Tips or Restaurants:
Everything we needed and more was at the villa. Kitchen very well equipped and we made some memorable lunches and dinners during our stay. The local butcher shop is a wonderful experience and the owners very helpful. Restaurants of note Il Delfino by the sea at the base of the cable car. Ask for Alessandro and Angelo. In Taormina we liked Tiramisu Restaurant and a great restaurant famous for pizza about a 10 Euro cab ride up the hill. Highly recommend a visit to Castelmolo. A beautiful little town up the hill from the villa, (drive or bus it, don't walk) with a unbelievable view, great shops and restaurants. A feeling of being in the old world, fantastic.
Directions:
With GPS, which I highly recommend, the world is yours to discover. With this property, the address entrance is not accessible on arrival; you need to access by the side entrance which is impossible to find if you don't have specific directions. We fortunately were met by Gabriele who directed us to the right door, making our access easy and effortless.
Check In Out:
We arrived early and thanks to Gabriele, our property manager, he accommodated an earlier access to the property. He was also very helpful giving us the lay of the property, restaurant suggestions, made reservation on our behalf and all in all very pleasant to deal with. Check out prompt, efficient and fair as there where some extras to calculate such as coffee consumption and energy.

Overall:
A beautiful house, lovely gardens, awesome views. Accommodations worked out well for our family as far as bedrooms, etc go. Our week was as near perfect as you can get. Our trip to Sicily with our family was all that we hoped it would be and our children and grandchildren had a wonderful time. The villa was a significant part of our satisfaction. Our grandkids were in the pool anytime we were at the house. The weather was perfect for two weeks! I would not hesitate to rent from your company again and I would love to stay at the villa again in the future.
Enjoyed Most:
The pool is excellent and the outdoor kitchen was great. We had a Pizza Chef come in one night and he made too many pizza's, but we ate them mostly with a few leftovers. The house is furnished very nicely and has all we needed. Gabriele made a gift of some wine, cannoli and fruit for our arrival which was very nice, and appreciated. Irena the housekeeper was excellent and helped us a lot during the week in many ways. Gabriele arranged a few tours and some beach time and of course the Pizza Chef, which was awesome!
Enjoyed Least:
WiFi in the house was slow and did not have coverage around the pool and would only accept a few users. The house accommodates 9 or 10 persons and today with phones, iPads, etc, that is not adequate.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The house is a 10 minute walk down (many steps and steep slope streets) into town, but the walk back up, after you have had a big meal, late at night, was a little work for some of us who are a little older, but we did it a couple of times a day! I should be in better condition today as a result of the walking.
Tips or Restaurants:
Taormina of course is an awesome town, lots of people, but many restaurants, all good. We did not have one meal that was not excellent in the two weeks in Taormina. Our grandkids had their fill of pizza and pasta.
Check In Out:
I may have missed the information, but I did not know about the check in/out times until I got the package from you a few weeks before the trip. I had already made flight and van reservations much earlier and we were too early to check in and checked out late also (I did not know check out was at 9:30 AM, but it was in the papers we got a few weeks prior to leaving, I just missed it). Gabrielle did a good job of accommodating us and we worked it out.

Overall:
Excellent.
Enjoyed Most:
Space, extremely well-furnished, beautiful bedrooms.
Enjoyed Least:
Unfortunately there was a building being constructed in town, so our view was obstructed by a large crane. Work started at 07.00. This of course can occur anywhere and we were just unlucky.
Surrounding Area:
Beautiful view of Taormina, the coast and sea. Views of Mt Etna.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Taormina is 5 minutes away and built on side of hill so you need to be able to walk up steps.
Tips or Restaurants:
Taormina is full of restaurants. Short down hill walk to town.
Directions:
There is a very poor front access from the main road. It is essential to find the rear access with the parking area and direct access into the villa.
Check In Out:
This villa is not suitable for young children. The swimming pool can be accessed immediately from the patio; additionally, there are no railings on the patio, which is at a height of four feet above the pool deck.

Overall:
This was our third rental with RentVillas, and like the others, it was a very nice experience. There was plenty of room for our party of 9, the kitchen had all the tools we needed, and it was wonderful that we could walk to town. The views of the sea and Mt. Etna were postcard-perfect!
Enjoyed Most:
The views, the peaceful surroundings, the proximity to town, and having enough space so that we never felt crowded.
Enjoyed Least:
One bedroom was dark because it had no windows/access to the outdoors. Also, we would like to have had fresh towels at least once during the week.
Surrounding Area:
The views, the proximity to town, and having a small market just a few steps away.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Taormina was definitely within walking distance. The trek was fine for our group, but the steep hills might be too much for some folks.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring washcloths if you use them, soap, and Ziplock bags.
Directions:
The directions were fine. However, it can be a bit difficult to navigate the narrow, winding roads. This got better with practice!
Check In Out:
Gabrielle was great on arrival and on departure, and he was very gracious about helping us with a couple small problems.
