Customer Reviews

Overall:
Great place.
Enjoyed Most:
Views.
Enjoyed Least:
The maid service coming at 10:00 AM. We felt the cost of the housekeeping was high.
Surrounding Area:
Gorgeous and serene.
Directions:
Use the GPS coordinates.

Kathy, September

Overall:
Everything was delivered as promised. The villa is one of the most phenomenal homes I have ever seen.
Enjoyed Most:
It was secluded, yet close to touring cities like Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, and everyone had their own space. The pool and the pool house were an added pleasure.
Enjoyed Least:
No real issue except the A/C in one of the master BR's was on the fritz, but it was repaired.
Surrounding Area:
The beauty of the area was beyond belief. Every view was a postcard. The roads are clearly marked while touring which allowed us to enjoy as much as we wanted.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Colle Val d'Elsa is charming but not within walking distance. About a 15 min drive which was quite easy. Nearest grocery store only 5 minutes away.
Tips or Restaurants:
Use the cook service!! Orietta was fabulous, making whatever we asked, including pizza from the in-house hard wood pizza oven. Also, she will shop to have the house full of provisions upon arrival.
Directions:
You must use the GPS coordinates. They took us right to the private road and it was clearly marked. Easy drive from Roma on the A1, about 2 and 1/2 hours.
Check In Out:
Everyone I dealt with was truly professional and made the trip memorable.

Overall:
Breathtaking! Every inch of the villa was fabulous.
Enjoyed Most:
The spaciousness and privacy.
Enjoyed Least:
Air conditioning and WiFi could have been more reliable.
Surrounding Area:
A lot of villages to explore nearby.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Casole d'Elsa. Not walkable.
Directions:
Written instructions for how the kitchen appliances work--oven and stove in particular--would be helpful.

Overall:
It was fantastic! Lovely.
Enjoyed Most:
The pool.
Surrounding Area:
It was vast and beautiful.

Overall:
Great!
Enjoyed Most:
The outdoor spaces the pool, outdoor tables and patios, the views, the location of the house in Tuscany (proximity to towns). Plumbing (including showers ) was impeccable. Pool was fabulous. Bocce court was fantastic and provided lots of entertainment. Lots of towels and pillows. Good maid service (although at extra cost). Our chef, Orietta, Was absolutely fantastic! Her meals were so wonderful, and I would say this service really "made" the week in the villa extraordinary!
Enjoyed Least:
Lack of internet in bedrooms,no English TV, hard to use the stove (but we had a cook most nights!) The largest master bedroom had no central AC for a few nights, and the remedy (portable machine) was not really sufficient cooling for a room that size. The other bedrooms in the house were very cool!
Surrounding Area:
Absolutely everything. A true Tuscany experience. Fabulous location. Also, we received excellent drivers and tour guides though RentVillas.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Casole di Elsa. A short drive. On the way to the town was a little store that had groceries, sundries, fresh meats and cheeses.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bug spray, sunscreen and hats, so as to thoroughly enjoy all the outside spaces! Definitely hire the cooking service, restaurants are not exactly close by and hard to find (especially in the evenings). Check out the luxury hotel, Castello di Elsa nearby for a cocktail (expensive but lovely).
Directions:
A GPS is essential, along with the property coordinates (provided by RentVillas).

Susan, September

Overall:
It was fantastic. The house is absolutely unbelievable...like a museum. The views and the infinity pool were equally stunning.
Enjoyed Most:
The living room and bedroom, the "pool house" and the pool. the views were also wonderful. The art and details were fabulous....like movie sets everywhere you looked.
Enjoyed Least:
The Bocci Ball court that was in the photos wasn't available for use. No sand in it.
Surrounding Area:
Because you are right between Florence and Siena, it is a perfect location for touring towns like San Gimingano and many others.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Casole d' Elsa, a wonderful old hillltop town was only 3 km away out the back road. Not walkable, but a ten-minute car ride...and worth it.
Tips or Restaurants:
Just bring a lot of cool attire and good walking shoes. It is very, very hot, so pack nothing but light clothes.
Check In Out:
We were told to call the caretakers in advance, but they didn't answer the phone. However, they were there to meet us.
