Customer Reviews

Overall:
We had a wonderful experience. Gianni and Lucio were extremely helpful in assisting us to organize several wonderful day trips.
Enjoyed Most:
The property was in a great location, very close to Sorrento and Sant'Agata.
Enjoyed Least:
Parking was a little tight for a large van.
Surrounding Area:
Capri was a fun experience and Sorrento was easily accessible by car or bus.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Sant'Agata, not walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
The property managers were extremely helpful, recommend engaging with them on local markets and restaurants.
Directions:
Directly across the street from Hotel Il Nido.

Travis, June

Overall:
The view was amazing if you were looking straight out or to the right. If you looked to the left the view of obstructed by power lines. The house was adequate for 4 adults.
Enjoyed Most:
The view, the location and the terrace were AMAZING! The secured parking area was a plus.
Enjoyed Least:
The first morning was spent waiting while the owner put in a new microwave, fixed the hot tub and installed a working WiFi. They also had to fix the front gate that wouldn’t close properly. The hot tub has cold water and is not heated. The kitchen was ill equipped. There were only 3 wine glasses, no functional knife, and we felt that the pots and pans needed to be washed. The pillows were uncomfortable. The temperature setting on the tankless hot water was set too low. The existing coffee maker was too small for our group, so we purchased one to use.
Surrounding Area:
St. Agata was a wonderful little village about a 10 minute drive from the house. We ate at Mimi's restaurant several times... the food was excellent as was the service.
Nearby Events or Locales:
St. Agata was the nearest town... probably a 30 minute walk but we always drove and parked in a centrally located parking lot. This is where we purchased groceries for the week, etc.
Directions:
We used a GPS.

Overall:
It was great.
Enjoyed Most:
The area around it was great, with the best view.
Enjoyed Least:
Lots of hills, but that's the area.
Surrounding Area:
The little city nearby, S. Agata is the best. I loved it.
Nearby Events or Locales:
S. Agata--I walked there one time and it took me 45 mins. I took the bus into town, as well.
Tips or Restaurants:
Your list was very good and I have nothing to add. Restaurants are the best in most of Italy. Don Alfonso is a little more money for lunch or dinner than most people want to spend, but well worth it. Also, Da Mimi in S. Agata is very good and very reasonable.
Directions:
The key holder is great and the directions were good.
Check In Out:
It all went great.

Overall:
This property was well located between St. Agata and Sorrento. The gated community provided security and privacy. Parking was available inside the property close to the entrance to the villa. The view was incredible!
Enjoyed Most:
The location! You could travel anywhere on the Amalfi Coast either by car, SITA (bus), or train to Pompeii and Herculaneum from Sorrento. We took the train to Pompeii and drove everywhere else.
Enjoyed Least:
Outside the gate there was trash and cats. All 3 bedrooms were upstairs while one bathroom was downstairs in the main living area. This would not pose a problem for a family sharing, but for couples it is not convenient. The kitchen was not very well equipped. Editor's Note: There was a problem with the manager of the complex (not the manager of the villa), which resulted in trash not being picked up outside the gate of the complex - and an ensuing court battle. It has now been settled, and a new manager has been hired for the complex, so there are no further issues with trash pickup.
Surrounding Area:
You could easily walk down a rather steep path to Sorrento in 20 minutes. We did not walk back to the villa but felt it was very possible. St Agata was convenient for restaurants and picking up wine and groceries.
Nearby Events or Locales:
St. Agata was the closest, but not an easy walk. As mentioned you could walk to Sorrento but the return hike would be strenuous as it is a very steep climb.
Tips or Restaurants:
There is a Hotel Nido and a restaurant Il Borgo within a few hundred meters where you can eat.
Directions:
We used a GPS and the local manager met us at the Hotel Nido which was only a 100 meters from the villa.
Check In Out:
A cell phone is necessary in order to be able to call the manager. He operates out of a local establishment in St Agata and uses mostly text and cell phone to contact.

Anne, October

Overall:
It was a good place to stay. It was central to all our traveling.
Enjoyed Most:
The view was wonderful.
Enjoyed Least:
It would have been great to have a dryer as we had trouble getting towels and clothes dry.
Surrounding Area:
The views were outstanding.
Nearby Events or Locales:
S. Agata a lovely town with everything we needed.
Tips or Restaurants:
Casa Laura was a great cooking school right in S Agata.
Directions:
We used a Garmin.
