Customer Reviews

Overall:
Stunningly beautiful views and very nice property. Very nice time there.
Enjoyed Most:
The view and outdoor space.
Enjoyed Least:
The fact that the villa is in part joined to two other units in very close quarters. I did not enjoy the fact that the outdoor space overlooked the others. It did not provide the privacy I expected. We could have used more dishes, utensils and glasses for our group of 7.
Surrounding Area:
The villa was too far from Positano to walk. Without a shuttle bus it was expensive to cab to and from. The local bus was unreliable, hot and crowded.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano and no it was not within a reasonable walking distance. Going down was possible but walking back up, near impossible.
Check In Out:
Check in and out ok. Giovanni was helpful.

Overall:
I truly enjoyed our experience. The property was a great location with spectacular views all around. I would definitely go back.
Enjoyed Most:
The fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom and that for the most part, no matter where you were on the property you had a great view.
Surrounding Area:
The view. The people were all friendly and helpful.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. You could either use the stairs or walk single file on the road which was easier on the knees. That being said, we were there in low season there was still traffic.
Tips or Restaurants:
We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at the Saracena d'Oro. The staff was very pleasant as well. If you are going to buy a lemon granita as you enter the village of Positano there is a lady under a big tree and she by far has the best one.
Directions:
We did not use a GPS and hired a driver from the airport in Naples to bring up to/from the villa
Check In Out:
It was perfect.

Overall:
A wonderful villa with amazing views. Great location.
Enjoyed Most:
The terraces and views from every angle.
Enjoyed Least:
Kitchen had minimal supplies. i.e. dishes and utensils. Hot water was at times difficult to manage in bathrooms.
Surrounding Area:
Positano is a perfect location to stay for this holiday. A truly beautiful town. Very friendly people.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. It could be walked to from the villa. Sometimes walking back was a bit much. But all in all was great.
Tips or Restaurants:
Yes. Toilet paper is not an item that is replenished. If I had known that I would have made sure we had it on the grocery list. Caffe Positano has the best lasagna I have ever tasted. It can be walked to from the villa (about twenty minutes) and the restaurant will even pick you up. Awesome!!
Directions:
No problems with directions. We were picked up and driven there. Perfect.
Check In Out:
Check in and and check out was every easy and smooth process.

Overall:
Excellent. View was amazing. Nice, quiet, awesome place.
Enjoyed Most:
The view and outside living space. Plus inside living space was very nice and comfortable.
Surrounding Area:
Liked the location. Easily walked to restaurants, we walked everywhere in Positano. Enjoyed the walking around.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano
Tips or Restaurants:
Purchase (or bring) kitchen soap.
Directions:
We used a taxi from the airport.

Overall:
We had a wonderful, restful week in Positano. The villa was amazing and Positano was beautiful. It was easy to do day trips to Capri, Pompeii, Sorrento and further along the Amalfi Coast. A great trip!
Enjoyed Most:
The view was spectacular. The property was very well-maintained and a maid came in daily. The pool was a blessing since it was close to 100 degrees F everyday.
Enjoyed Least:
The private beach was nice but the water had a lot of seaweed and there were jelly fish. My son got stung once so we stuck to the pool.
Surrounding Area:
Great little shops and good restaurants.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The center of Positano was close by but not really within walking distance. The villa sits at the top of the hill and the road winds back and forth to the bottom (which is where most of the shops are) so it is a long walk. Taxis are readily available but cost 20 Euros each way.
Tips or Restaurants:
The villa was stocked with toilet paper, shampoo, soaps, etc. When you arrive, you have to take the funiculare (elevator) down to the villa and then there are about 30 stairs to the villa so pack light! A great restaurant was Ristorante Il Ritrovo, but you have to take a taxi up the hill. Worth it, though.
Directions:
We had a car service from the train station so no trouble finding it.
Check In Out:
The key holder was excellent. He was very accessible and went over everything with us.
