Customer Reviews

Overall:
An absolutely amazing experience, with a view to absolutely die for! Going to bed at night with the windows open to a view of the sea, sparkling lights of Positano, and boats on the water. Blissfully quiet and peaceful, with I do honestly believe the best view in all of Positano. Absolutely outstanding property.
Enjoyed Most:
The layout of the villa was fabulous, but the terrace was the best. And access to a private garden with lemon trees, tomatoes, basil, rosemary, lettuces, fava beans, zucchini, peas and wild fennel made this truly special. Alphonso our gardener would arrive every morning and take me to the garden and he would ask what I would like. Warm baby zucchinis with the flower blossoms still attached is the stuff dreams are made of.
Enjoyed Least:
Absolutely nothing negative to say about this property.
Surrounding Area:
Fornillo beach and private stairs down to it. All of Positano was a dream, and we explored a good deal of the Amalfi Coast.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. Stairs down to town and about a 5 minute walk.
Tips or Restaurants:
If you like to cook, this is the villa for you. Lots of fabulous restaurants in Positano, but it was a dream to cook here and enjoy the terrace.
Directions:
The directions were perfect.
Check In Out:
Totally fabulous.

Overall:
Wonderful.
Enjoyed Most:
Location and feeling like we were at home. Also the garden. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables for us to use.
Enjoyed Least:
To be picky... That all the bedrooms are connected.
Surrounding Area:
Closeness to town and beach and grocery store. View.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. Yes walking distance. 150 steps down stairs to get to it. Walking up through town and walking on the road back to the villa felt easier then going back up the stairs. Sounds like a lot but other tourist we met had many more stairs then we did.
Tips or Restaurants:
Enjoy the villa. The veggie garden was amazing. The gardener would pick fresh lettuce or beans etc for us to use. We would go to explore town mid morning, eat lunch there and on the way home pick up fresh fish or chicken and cook at the villa. Ate outside. Wonderful. Bring beach shoes to swim in. The beach is all stones and they get hot, walking on then can be tricky.
Directions:
We had a driver take us from Naples train station to Positano. He spoke to the key holder of the villa and she gave him great directions to find the villa. Google Maps was a bit of a pain in Positano. Only one road that goes through town and lots of walking paths. Google would choose the road at times instead of giving the quicker way by foot path.
Check In Out:
Check in and out was great. Do get a porter to help with your luggage. 75 steps down to the front door of the villa from the road.

Overall:
Outstanding! The location was perfect - not too far from the shops, but enough to keep a private, quiet setting. Besides, who needs to get caught up in the masses with that view?!
Enjoyed Most:
THE TERRACE! The view is spectacular and setting is comfortable and so picturesque. We enjoyed happy hours outside before heading to dinner. And each morning I loved waking up the sounds of the waves. The location is also pretty amazing - I didn't mind the steps (in fact, not so bad when you consider all the pasta consumption!)
Enjoyed Least:
The shared/open bathroom. It's a little awkward for those in the two bedrooms who share it (we were a party of three couples) but not the end of the world
Surrounding Area:
The natural beauty and sights! We had a car during our stay and enjoyed driving to neighboring towns (Amalfi, Ravello) as well as a wonderful chartered boat ride to Capri, arranged through RentVillas.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The central part of Positano is a short walk downhill (stairs) - less than 5 minutes. Very easy and not a bad workout! Of course the return was uphill (stairs) but the walk is pleasant and relaxed (unless you are walking along the narrow streets - where you have to keep an eye out for cars whizzing by).
Tips or Restaurants:
Definitely bring soaps and shampoos, etc. The villa came stocked with beach towels. I also brought bug spray (but we didn't need it in May) and of course sunblock. We did a lot of grocery shopping at the nearby shops and I was impressed by the offerings and prices! We enjoyed a few meals at home. As far as restaurants our favorite was La Tagliata! We walked toward it after coming off the walk of the gods (Il Sentiero degli Dei) and it was incredible - such a feast!
Directions:
We had a pretty easy time reaching the parking lot in our rental car and then Carmela met us there and it was a short walk to the villa with the luggage (downhill). I read the reviews warning of the stairs so we packed accordingly! It was definitely a workout - but not terrible. The other members of our party came in a transfer from Naples so they had no trouble arriving.
Check In Out:
The check in out process was super easy and Carmela was so helpful!

Overall:
Overall it was great. It's a good location and has a beautiful, extra large terrace.
Enjoyed Most:
The garden was fabulous, with a bounty of vegetables of which we were offered to help ourselves.
Enjoyed Least:
The ants on the patio.
Surrounding Area:
The beach, shopping.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano--yes, all within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
I would let everyone know you really need a porter to take your luggage up to the villa; it was 60 Euros.

Overall:
Positano is a magical place. The villa was beautiful and we utilized the extensive outdoor space daily to enjoy the wide open sea views and share meals.
Enjoyed Most:
The villa was spacious, clean, and comfortable but the outdoor living space, terrace flowers and sea views was our favorite.
Enjoyed Least:
The villa was not air conditioned but the bedrooms had ceiling fans. There were no fans in the living room or kitchen.
Surrounding Area:
The villa had a great location. We were close enough to Positano's busy center to walk there but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the villa's location. There was also a wonderful, small grocery store nearby that we visited daily. While it was small, they had everything we needed to prepare meals we wanted to enjoy at "home." They also had a great wine selection at very reasonable prices!
Nearby Events or Locales:
I don't know. Since we were staying in town we didn't feel the need to leave Positano.
Tips or Restaurants:
Visitors should be prepared for the number of steps they will need to climb or descend to visit the town. People with mobility issues will have challenges enjoying all that Positano has to offer. Bring a couple reusable grocery bags to bring groceries and wine from the grocery store back to the villa. There were also some mosquitos that would come out in the evening if there were no breezes. Bring something to relieve itchy bug bites. Also, purchase some small citronella candles at the grocery store to burn outside in the evening. This helped deal with the mosquitos.
Directions:
We had no issue with directions because we had a car service take us from Naples to Positano.
Check In Out:
The process went very smoothly but we did have concerns regarding how much the utility cost would be for the week. Since that is a cost that must be covered with cash and we weren't sure if the 300 security deposit would cover our usage. We ended up getting 130 euros back at checkout but would have preferred to know what previous renters had paid so we could have estimated better and felt confident that the charges would not exceed the 300 euros check/in deposit.
