Overall:
Our experience at Villa Pucci was absolute perfection! The house and view are spectacular.
Enjoyed Most:
The house is absolutely lovely and the view is beyond compare. We spent most of the time sitting out by the lovely pool and just enjoying the view. It was even better than the pictures. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly. We had a group of 18 and everyone had their own space. There were plenty of bathrooms which was a huge plus! We were never crowded. The dining area was beautiful and we were all able to sit around one table which we really enjoyed.
Surrounding Area:
The house is perfectly situated to enjoy visits throughout Tuscany. We were able to visit a number of the Hill Towns and Florence -- all daytrips from the house. A few in our group went cycling on a few of the days while others in our group hiked on nearby roads.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Certaldo is the nearest town. We enjoyed the huge Coop supermarket for shopping and going into the old town for dinner one night.
Directions:
The GPS coordinates were the better way to get to the house. Google maps led a few folks astray.
Check In Out:
Enzo and Christina are so gracious and are wonderful hosts! They were very responsive and absolutely perfect.

Overall:
Lovely week's vacation with friends and family.
Enjoyed Most:
View, indoor/outdoor living area, spacious interior, many rooms, en suite bathrooms.
Enjoyed Least:
Unclear instructions about some aspects of the recycling (not clear whether paper recycling and trash were to be separate or combined) and not enough room in the trash and recycling bins.
Surrounding Area:
Beautiful views, nature walks, biking, swimming in the pool, proximity to towns in Tuscany.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Nearest small town was Certaldo it was not within walking distance.
Directions:
No problem finding the property--we used "Here You Go" app.

Overall:
Great vacation experience. Setting, grounds, pool, location, view were all fantastic. Owners were responsive, very helpful and available at all times when needed.
Enjoyed Most:
Everything. Very conveniently located to major attractions in Tuscany and Florence. Having a pool with a view out over the hills and countryside was icing on the cake.
Enjoyed Least:
Initial orientation to the roadways (we all had vehicles) and in and out of the area took some doing, but once we got used to coming and going it was easy.
Surrounding Area:
Very quiet around the villa, but centrally located to make day trips to Florence, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano, other hill towns, wineries etc. Sunrise and sunset vistas were spectacular.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Certaldo was the nearby town. Some reviews said it was within walking distance. It is not. Access roads are narrow, and the return walk from town would be several miles up hill. It could be dangerous to try to walk them especially at night. Not much night life in this town that we could see.
Tips or Restaurants:
Had the greatest time at Osteria di Casa Chianti restaurant in or near Fiano, not far from the villa. Max, the owner was most entertaining, and the food was good. Buy toilet paper and bug spray on the way in.
Check In Out:
None whatsoever. Everything went smoothly. Renters should remember that there is a 1,500 euro cash deposit due upon arrival and you pay extra for consumption of water, gas and electricity. We were 11 people, used the heated pool for a week and our use of all of these came to about 350 Euro for the week.

Overall:
Wonderful villa. The view is spectacular, the villa was quiet, large enough for 13 adults comfortably and very well situated near Certaldo. The rooms were large and comfortable, the kitchen was very user friendly, and the large glass enclosed sun room was great.
Enjoyed Most:
The quiet surroundings, and yet it was close enough to the train to get anywhere you wanted.
Enjoyed Least:
Too small a washer and dryer. That is my only complaint.
Surrounding Area:
Beautiful scenery. In the distance you could see the towers of San Gimignano.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Nearest town was Certaldo. It was not in easy walking distance, about 4 KM to get there. Certaldo is filled with good restaurants (inexpensive but food was excellent). Certaldo has a Coop (large grocery store) and has the train station. The train will get you to Florence, Pisa, Siena and lots of other places, quickly and comfortably. Park the car in train station lot and then ride the train.
Tips or Restaurants:
Everything we needed was there. Try the restaurants in Certaldo.
Directions:
There is no longer is a stoplight at the turn to go out of Certaldo up to the villa. That is now a roundabout.
Check In Out:
Super place. Wonderful owners. We had a cook come in on one night and cook a terrific meal for us. The villa is large enough and quiet enough for more than the 13 of us. The upstairs where the bedrooms are located is quiet even when people are having fun in the sun room. Never watched the TV, did not play pool or foosball, but they were available.

Overall:
We had a fabulous week at Villa Pucci. It's a truly magnificent spot, with beathtaking views all around.
Enjoyed Most:
The views undoubtedly, the pool area, the pool table.
Enjoyed Least:
The kitchen was pretty rustic and basic for our needs. Not a great deal of work surface area. Also there was nowhere really to sit inside and relax, the TV room worked well for the kids but no area for adults to chill. Also the lighting in the bedrooms was very poor.
Surrounding Area:
Certaldo was a beautiful town with all the necessities. The old part of the town was amazing to visit. The position of the villa is equidistant from Florence and Siena which gives it real benefit.
Nearby Events or Locales:
About a 7 minute drive to Certaldo.
Tips or Restaurants:
We had a few problems with adaptor plugs as the points in the villa seemed slightly different from the usual European plugs. We found a wonderful restaurant in San Gimignano called Il Muro Vecchia. Bring extra towels for the pool.

Overall:
The villa could not have been nicer. All 18 of us, from young to old, really had a great time. Overall the experience was even more than we had hoped for. We thank you for the arrangements and for being so easy with which to work. We will highly recommend you and Rentvillas to our friends.
Enjoyed Most:
The bedrooms were beautiful and typically old Italian. Waking up and overlooking Tuscany was like being in a movie scene. The bathrooms in each very modern. The washing machine very convenient. The dining area more than satisfactory, the kitchen fully equipped for when we wanted to cook. The pool table and swimming pool were popular with all. The cooks we had for three nights - it would have been more if they had been available - were fabulous. They set a wonderful table, cooked, and cleaned up. Their meals were typically Tuscan and served like in a fine restaurant - only nicer - because we could sit around the table for as long as we wanted. The owner was just great. We had a problem with the locks initially. He repaired the problem the very next day. He could not have been nicer.
Enjoyed Least:
There are no screens on the Villa. For the most part, this was not much of a problem. What was a bit of a problem, even thought we had repellant, was everyone who sat outside and used the pool. We all did and came home with lots of mosquito bites. Overall it was a small price to pay for such a wonderful memory.
Surrounding Area:
The location was so convenient to Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, and the Chianti region. We had several cars and found traveling easy. The weather was great. It was warm, but there was always a nice breeze on the hill.
