Customer Reviews

Overall:
Owners were great. Nice people. Very informative. Property was very nice in good locations to go leave from for day trips.
Enjoyed Most:
Size, style and staff.
Enjoyed Least:
Although the location was good to go to other areas, we would have liked it to have been set back further from the dusty access road. The parking area did not have lighting. The bed in the master bedroom was uncomfortable, so we slept in single beds in the living room. The property provides mountain bikes, but the bikes all need major work.
Surrounding Area:
Siena was close and a great town to be close to. Pienza was close by too.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Monteroni D'arbia was close. Not really walking distance but 2 minutes by car. It's definitely not the prettiest town in Tuscany but very functional.
Tips or Restaurants:
Great local restaurant in Monteroni d'Arbia. Just one though - Ristorante Pizzeria La Galera on via Roma.
Directions:
GPS is a must have. It got us to the property and everywhere else.
Check In Out:
No problems. Very attentive.

Overall:
Great place. Loved it.
Enjoyed Most:
The hosts were amazing. Loved the pool, too. Monteroni is just the right size town. A couple of restaurants and a gelataria only a few minutes walk.
Enjoyed Least:
The lack of sidewalks into town. But it is not a very busy road and the drivers were considerate.
Surrounding Area:
Lots of places to visit. There was plenty to keep us busy for a week.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Monteroni is just a 5 minute walk. Easy.
Tips or Restaurants:
The hosts had provided the necessities that most places don't -- some breakfast things for the first day, including toast, jam, coffee, sugar and salt. The nearest restaurant is quite good. Enjoyed finding the Mt. Oliveto Abbey and Mt. Amiata because they weren't in our guidebooks.

Overall:
We felt that the owner was extremely helpful and informative! Our stay at Casa dei Venti was well worth it. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen and bathroom were very clean and the grounds were fantastic for hiking or just a quick early morning stroll in the Tuscan hills.
Enjoyed Most:
Walking the grounds and seeing all of the beautiful sights they had to offer. The castle was beautiful!! We also loved the apartment itself. The rooms were very well kept and inviting. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere!
Enjoyed Least:
Because of the time of year we decided to stay, the fields had already been harvested. We were looking so forward to seeing the lush rolling Tuscan hills. Most of them were turned over dirt by the time we had arrived. We will admit, even though the fields had been harvested, the hills were still one of the most beautiful things we had ever seen.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Monteroni D' Arbia......Yes, it was within walking or driving distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
MAKE SURE YOU BRING A GPS!!!! If you don't bring a GPS you will for sure get lost!! You will somehow find your way on the confusing Italian roads. It will just take triple the time you expect if you do not have something to guide you!! Osteria D' Peo....The owner of the villa made reservations for us our first night in town. It was a lovely restaurant with great service, fabulous wine and some of the best food we had in all of Italy!!! We highly recommend it!! It was the only restaurant we actually went to more than once.
Check In Out:
It was very quick and easy!!
