Overall:
This property was easy to get to and in a great location, with views of the ruins and in the evening there was a piano concert right outside of our 2nd floor porch. The keyholder was very helful and his English was great.
Enjoyed Most:
Location to downtown and the attractions. The property was clean, the shower was good size and good pressure there were extra towels for us to use.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Kitchen was an armoire and rather small, but it worked for us because we only ate breakfast at our villa.
Surrounding Area:
The ruins and how close we were to The Forum and The Colosseum. We were also close to the river, the bus, the tram. We felt safe and we loved walking around in the early morning and late in the evening when things were cooler.
Tips or Restaurants:
Definitely go to the supermarket which was just down the street if you plan on eating breakfast in the villa. There was not an oven so don't plan on baking anything. We toasted our bread in a skillet. We also asked the key holder, Hassan, how to use the espresso maker before he left.
Directions:
We had a map of Rome before we arrived with all the streets on it, and it was very helpful.
Check In Out:
You definitely need a working phone before you arrive in Italy so that you can call the key holder. We bought a phone once we arrived in Italy at the airport and we were told that it would take 24 hours before it would work, when in actuality it took almost 4 days, which was very frustrating.

Overall:
Extremely positive and enjoyable.
Enjoyed Most:
Excellent location, wonderful neighborhood, spacious, comfortable apartment. Loved the small private patio overlooking Roman ruins.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Poor lighting for reading in main room, bare-bones kitchen, front entrance area to apartment building not attractive.
Surrounding Area:
Visually it was captivating, extremely well-located to shopping, restaurants and wherever we wanted to walk. It also felt like we were part of a real neighborhood.
Tips or Restaurants:
The apartment was fairly well-equipped for preparing light meals. A toaster would have been nice. The food shopping in Campo di Fiori was terrific and I even managed to find wheat-free bread for myself at an excellent bakery in the Campo that far surpassed anything I get in Toronto.
Directions:
We called the key holder from the airport, told him we were taking the train into Rome and that we would contact him from the Rome termini. We called him when we arrived at the station and handed him the phone to explain to the taxi driver where we were going. So we had no problems at all.
Check In Out:
It seemed to work smoothly for us.
