In this land saturated with the spirit of fine living and a rich cultural heritage, stay at Casa Elisa, located on a lovely 400-hectare estate on the border of Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. Three vacation rental farmhouses, restored and converted by the owners to holiday homes, dot the property. A classical country house, Casa Elisa claims a hilltop position among the rolling green landscape bordering the Foresti Casentinesi, a national park extending southward into Tuscany. The farmhouse also overlooks the town of Tredozio, characterized by delicious restaurants (try the Mulino di San Michele), and where summer nights are brought alive by concerts in the Palazzo Fantini.

Along with Lutirano (a tiny Tuscan village to the north) and Tredozio, a number of excursions are easily possible from Casa Elisa. Faenza, world-famous for its ceramics production house and museum, is about 30 km away, and the splendid fortress at Brisighella (15km) is the focus of an annual medieval festival. 50 km toward the Adriatic brings one to Ravenna, where one can view the world’s finest Byzantine mosaics outside of Istanbul. Bologna, 75 km northwest of Tredozio, offers a delightful urban experience, and the Tuscan capital of Florence is not much further away. The nearest grocery store, bakery, and bus station are located in Tredozio, 2.5 km away. The nearest airport is Forli.

ExteriorDescription
(1 hectare) The owners have taken every care possible to preserve the original appearance of the farmhouse. The roofs are covered with classic red-clay tiles, windows are shuttered with chestnut wood from the property, and walls have been repaired with local stone. The view in all directions is extraordinary, as the estate sits nearly 2,000 feet high on an Apennine ridge. The farmhouse comes with its own garden, swimming pool (10m x 5m, depth 1.2-1.9 m), and pizza oven. The two apartments, Casa Elisa 1 and 2, share the garden and swimming pool.
InteriorDescription
(130 m2) First floor: Like the exterior, the interior of this classical country farmhouse has been refurbished to offer modern amenities, but with a careful eye to retaining its original character. Floors and kitchen and bathroom walls have been refitted with tiles made in nearby Faenza, famous since the 14th century for its ceramics. Casa Elisa 2 is an apartment on the first floor of the farmhouse. Inside the apartment, curl up in the large living room by the fireplace, watch TV, or prepare and eat your own authentic Italian cuisine in the separate dining room/kitchen, fully equipped with an oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, and microwave. The double bedroom includes a queen-size bed and an en suite bathroom with bathtub with handheld shower head, sink and WC. There is also a second bedroom with two twin beds, one bathroom with bathtub with a handheld shower head, sink and WC.
Mezzanine floor: There are two twin-bedded sleeping areas. One of these rooms is open and not private, while the other can be closed off along with a little den. A utility room provides the added convenience of a washing machine.

Security Deposit
- Upon arrival at the property you are required to pay to the property representative a security deposit payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure minus any extra charges or accidental damages to the property. The listed security deposit is: 500 EUR
Additional Expenses
- Heating charged according to consumption
- If available, telephone and internet usage are extra and charged according to consumption.
- A baby bed is available upon request for the weekly rate of: 100 EUR
- Mandatory final cleaning charge: 150 EUR
- Upon request and with approval of the owner a late arrival is possible between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm (no arrivals accepted after 9:00 pm!!) with a late arrival fee of: 50 EUR
- Weekly utility deposit: 300 EUR

- Extra maid service is usually available upon request and is paid locally.
- If available, heating is allowed by Italian law only from November 1 to April 1 with exceptions made for extreme weather
- If available, cook service must be arranged at least two months prior to arrival and is subject to the availability of the cook.
- CLIENTS ARE REQUIRED TO GIVE A PHOTOCOPY OF THEIR PASSPORT TO THE LOCAL MANAGER WHEN THEY ARRIVE AT THE PROPERTY.
