The village nearest this villa is the quaint and quiet Nissaki, where you will find a small beach with good swimming areas and several tavernas. If you're in the mood for adventure you can also find some coastal footpaths (leading to some small, rocky coves) or drive up into the hills to explore traditional Greek villages. The road from the villa to Nissaki is a beautiful unpaved (and steep!) road, perfect for dedicated walkers or hikers. Corfu town, the capital of the island, is only 20 km away, a nice afternoon or day trip. Here you will find a city influenced by many different styles: predominantly Venetian, traces of Greek, Roman, Normans, French and even English influences can also be found. You can visit museums, fortresses, churches, and many other interesting relics from the past. Or you may find it equally pleasurable simply to wander the narrow streets, taking in the atmosphere from elegant buildings and hidden squares.

(4,000 m2) This villa sits amidst olive and cypress trees on the hillside of Mount Pantokrator, with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea and the town of Corfu. From the main road (and bus stop) there is an unpaved, uphill road. The house sits alone on a huge property; there is another house 150 meters away, but rich vegetation obscures its presence, as well as any other houses in the area. Gardens surround the house, along with olive, cypress, lemon, and rose trees. Trees even act as the property's fence, and there is no gate at the main entrance. The outdoor area immediate to the property is private, and includes a built-in barbeque and three different dining areas: one on the ground floor and two at lower levels. A private swimming pool is 11m x 5m, and parking is outdoor beneath the shade of the property's olive trees.

Ground Floor: On the ground floor, a fully-equipped, open-plan kitchen with breakfast nook and an informal lounge area with fireplace lead down to a high-ceilinged lounge and formal dinning room. Three sets of patio doors will bring you onto the large terrace with a magnificent view. On this floor you will also find a private area with two bedrooms: the first room contains two wide single beds, while the second has two regular-size twin beds and an en suite bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower. A separate bathroom on this floor has a sink, toilet, and tub with handheld showerhead.
First Floor: 12 steps lead to the upper floor, where there is a master bedroom with a 160 cm queen-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom (toilet, sink, tub, separate shower). There is also another bedroom with two twin beds and a balcony. A separate bathroom has a sink, toilet, and tub with handheld showerhead.
Lower Ground Floor: Another 12 steps from the ground floor lead down to a lower area. A large den and spacious game room complete with wet bar, pool table, chess, and exercise bike make this part of the house ideal for children as well as for adults. A sofa-bed in this room makes it possible to accommodate one extra person. There is also a bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower. Sliding patio doors lead onto the terrace and down to the swimming pool and built-in barbecue.

Overall:
This house has a unique location and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The owner and her assistant were extremely nice. I have rented many houses in the past few years and this was definitely my best experience.

The view
Unpleasant Surprises:
the Greek tradition regarding toilets: we couldn't drop any paper in the toilets and this is definitely not our concept of good hygiene. We understood, however, that it has nothing to do with the villa; it is related to the local plumbing system.

Nice walk to the beach or uphill.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Dassia was the closest shopping town not at walking distance, but close enough. Also a few grocery shops were at walking distance. The fish market in Corfu city was fun to visit.

Overall:
I thought both of the properties we rented in Greece through you were outstanding. This villa on Corfu was new, large, open and had a great pool. The woman who owned it was extremely friendly and we had maid service a couple of times.
Enjoyed Most:
I think my kids would say the pool was the highlight. It was also in a magnificent location overlooking the Ionian Sea with a huge balcony-porch to enjoy the view.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The only glitch was when we landed in Corfu the owner had a driver waiting for us - and I always rent a car. We didn't have directions to the house and got slightly lost, but the owner was available on her cell phone and helped me find the place. It was a fun adventure.
