About The Experience

If you and two other couples are looking for some rest and relaxation while spending the holidays in Tuscany, look no further for a rental accommodation because you’ve found it here. This villa is set in the hills of Tuscany and is near the region’s best spas and wellness centers in Montecatini Terme. You’ll also be able to throw in some excitement when you’d like, for Lucca, Florence, and Siena and perfect day trip destinations.

Location Description

This property is located three kilometers away from the nearest town of Monsummano Terme. There are a number of leisure activities you can find in or around Monsummano such as golf courses, horseback riding facilities, walking tours, and cooking classes. Nearby are the Giusti Grottoes, home to hot thermal baths, and Motecatini Terme, one of the European spa capitals. Thirty kilometers away is Lucca, which is worth enjoying for its medieval charm in addition to a number of interesting sights. The Duomo di San Martino and the Church of San Michele in Foro are both gorgeous examples of period architecture, while the Casa di Puccini, where the composer was born, has been transformed into a small museum in his honor. You can also climb the 130 foot Torre Guinigi, but on the other hand, viewing the tree-topped tower from below might be just as enjoyable… and a lot less work! There is a train station in both Montecatini Terme and Lucca in which you can easily and quickly travel to Pisa or Florence for the day should you not feel like driving.

Nearby Attractions: Monsummano (thermal baths, Romanesque church, castle), Montecatini Terme (spas, restaurants, shops, live performances, train station), Lucca (Torre Guinigi, museums, churches, train station), Florence, Pisa, Siena

Customer Reviews

Villa Graziosa was the exact experience we were hoping for when we booked our holiday. The property is in a beautiful location with wonderful views and sunsets. The villa is well maintained and appointed and the owner is very helpful and friendly.
Enjoyed Most:
The layout of the villa was superb, both inside and outside. There was plenty of room for all three couples to relax and enjoy the property.
Enjoyed Least:
The kitchen nook only allowed one person to be in there comfortably and the pillows were hard.
Surrounding Area:
Everythiig was quite easy to get to from the villa. We traveled into Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Florence, Montecatini, Montecarlo and of course the local town of Monsummano.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Monsummano was the closest town to the villa. It is not within walking distance. The villa is up a very steep hill and takes about 15 minutes of careful driving from the town.
Tips or Restaurants:
The villa is well-appointed and only food and toiletries are really necessary. The owner was very helpful with providing local maps and suggestions for restaurants. We tried some of his recommendations and enjoyed them thoroughly.
We used a GPS after you provided coordinates for us.
Check In Out:
Check in and check out were organized very well by the owner.

The villa is situated in a lovely spot overlooking the valley. Beautiful sunsets and very quiet. Very relaxing.
Enjoyed Most:
Quiet and peaceful. Large bedrooms with reasonable size ensuite bathrooms with views across the valley.
Enjoyed Least:
Road to villa had potholes and could be difficult to drive for novices and those persons who do not like tight situations. The kitchen was small though did have most utensils. Only one person at a time could work in the kitchen.
Surrounding Area:
Restaurants and wineries. Hot springs and close to Pisa, Lucca and Florence.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Monsummano Terme. It was located about 5km by car. Not within walking distance. Road dangerous to walk as very narrow.
Tips or Restaurants:
Mobile service is limited. Lots of restaurants and places to visit within 60 km. A car is definitely needed.

The villa was beautiful and very relaxing. The view was incredible and we were surrounded by beauty and nature. We had beautiful white horses who would greet us in the morning. Amazing!
Enjoyed Most:
It was spacious and everything was beautiful. Owner was very nice and always very helpful.
Enjoyed Least:
The only challenge was the drive up the mountain to the property but after doing it a few times it was not a problem.
Surrounding Area:
It was breathtakingly beautiful and close to a lot of great cities: Lucca, Viareggio and a bit further Siena, Arezzo and San Gimignano.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The closest towns were Monsummano Terme and Montecatini Terme-- not walking distance because the villa is on top of a mountain.
Tips or Restaurants:
Rent the smallest car you can to make it easy to get up and down the mountain. The owner recommended some good restaurants, particularly La Cantina outside of Monsumano Terme.
The directions provided were helpful. We did use GPS for when we got a bit off track since there are a lot of one way streets.
