Location Description

This villa is on a small hill called Santa Maria della Neve that offers lovely views stretching to the Salerno Bay, and the legendary cliffs named ‘Li Galli' and ‘Vetara'. It is within 200 meters of the centre of Sant’Agata sui due Golfi, a small town full of shops, bars and restaurants. Described as “one of the pearls” in the Gulfs of Napes and Salerno, Sant’Agata sui due Golfi is perched on a hill offering views of the coast, sea, and two bays nearby. Today it is best known for its church of the same name, the monastery of Deserto, and its archeological ruins dating back to Etruscan times. Of course, there are also markets, shops, restaurants, including the historical Don Alfonso, and an endless amount of walking paths away from the main roads. Sorrento is a short drive away where you’ll find a museum, music festivals from mid-September to mid-October, and various art galleries throughout the year. Shoppers, be sure to stop by Via S. Cesaero in the center of Sorrento to browse craft stores, sweet shops, and clothing boutiques. Keep in mind that every Tuesday is the weekly street market. There are also cinemas, wine bars, and even a bowling alley to amuse you during your visit. Exterior Description

This villa, renovated in 2009, features two sunbathing terraces, a private swimming pool (3.5 m x 6.5 m + 1.5 m, Open May 5 to September 28) and a large orchard. The swimming pool is completely surrounded by a stone patio, fruit trees and ornamental plants, and looks over the Salerno Bay and the islands of Li Galli and La Vetara. There is an outdoor shower with cold water (only!). The main floor terrace, tastefully designed with a wooden roof and typical rocks of Massa, is furnished with a walnut table from Sorrento, chairs, deck chairs, couches, and a barbecue (made of stone by local artisans). Each glass door of the villa opens to this terrace. There are spectacular views to the Salerno Bay as well as over the surrounding hills, mountains, valleys, islands, and the long coast. There is private parking for four cars. Please note that as the villa is close to the main road and 200 meters from the center of town, there is occasional traffic noise. However, there are no other houses nearby assuring privacy.

Interior Description

Ground Floor: From the patio is the living room furnished with two sofas, Satellite TV, and a working fireplace. To the right are the dining room and the well-equipped kitchen with an Italian coffee maker, oven, electric tea kettle, and dishwasher. On your left, after a small sitting room, are the bathroom with shower and the king size bedroom (180 cm) with television and sea-view.
First Floor: The upper floor features a very small bedroom with a single bed (80 cm) with only a toilet. This bedroom is suitable for young people, only. There is a bathroom with tub and a double bedroom with two narrow twin beds (80 cm) which can be combined to form a queen size bed (160 cm), upon request. This bedroom has access to a balcony of approximately 80 m2.

• Air conditioning is available on the first floor only and is available by request at an extra cost.
• The twin-bedded room has two 80 cm beds, which are considered narrow by U.S. standards. The beds can be combined to form a queen-size bed upon prior request.
• The single bedroom on the first floor is very small and suitable for a young person, only.
• The villa is close to the main road and 200 meters from the center of town, so there is occasional traffic noise.
