Customer Reviews
Overall:
Wonderful vacation, magical place, attended wedding in area.
Enjoyed Most:
Perfect location close to towns, yet remote and isolated with spectacular views in all directions.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Very small bathroom and no direct outside space or view from actual apartment.
Surrounding Area:
Vineyards, olive groves, piece and quiet and a piece of history around every bend.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Gaiole was a downhill walk, but hard uphill climb back, easy to drive to, friendly locals, all necessities.

Overall:
Extremely enjoyable.
Enjoyed Most:
The beauty of the area, unique experience of this restored medieval village, tasteful decorations and renovation.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Communication with the local manager can be difficult because of language and accessibility. We managed to communicate, but it took time. Once we were there, we wanted to upgrade to a larger unit that proved to be unoccupied during our entire stay, but could find no one to help us when a move would have been convenient.
Surrounding Area:
It was a great location for visiting the entire Chianti region Siena, Florence, Arezzo, Cortona, Montepulciano, Volterra, especially.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We walked into Gaiole once, and it was uphill all the way back--a lovely walk, though, in cooler weather. Took about 20 minutes down, 25 back at a good pace.
Tips or Restaurants:
We were surprised to find that the unit had a washing machine. We were given a key to a terrace where we could hang clothes on a line. It also had a table.

Overall:
Very pleasant.
Enjoyed Most:
The apartment was in a very historic and interesting building.
Unpleasant Surprises:
We had to walk a few meters to our garden. There was nowhere to sit outside and have a meal.
Surrounding Area:
The views from our balcony were beautiful and the village was amazing.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Gaiole in Chianti. It was a bit too far to walk for shopping or a meal.
