Spend your time strolling about the hamlet and taking in the magnificent views, or take day trips throughout Tuscany, including Lucca, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and Volterra.

Along with the top museums like Uffizi, Galleria dell'Accademia, and Museo di Palazzo Vecchio, be sure to visit the Archeological Museum, the Museum of the History of Science and the Museo Stibbert, which has a famous collection of armor.

An experience of a lifetime! Fantastic from any angle or view!
Enjoyed Most:
Just perfect! When we inquired about obtaining a comfortable chair, they upgraded us to the main castle! The local cat, Smokey, adopted us for the week!
Enjoyed Least:
Our fireplace didn't seem to vent properly; perhaps it's time for a chimney sweep?
Surrounding Area:
The incredible views!
Nearby Events or Locales:
San Casciano is the nearest town; it's too far to walk.
We used a GPS, but didn't use the coordinates as the property was very easy to find.
Check In Out:
Very kind and friendly!

Our stay was incredible. From the moment we arrived we knew we were in for something special. The pictures we had were nice, but no picture could capture the beauty of this place. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, the room felt Old World but had every modern appliance, and the view were some of the best Tuscany had to offer.
Enjoyed Most:
To pick one thing would be to absurd. If forced all I could say would be: My favorite thing about the property are the memories and stories it gave me.
Enjoyed Least:
While the windows had no screens and felt we were eaten alive by insects, I have to say there was no real negative experience.
Surrounding Area:
The location of the property was central to just about every major tourist attraction-town. Florence was a 20 minute drive... this made exploration of Tuscany easy and fun.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Bargino was the small town located nearby. It was within walking distance -we did in fact walk there. But the majority of the walk is up the steep road and not recommended for foot travel on a regular basis.
Tips or Restaurants:
Our room came fully stocked. The exploration of San Casciano is well worth the time. It came to be our favorite Tuscan town and was NOT considered to be a good tourist point by any travel book.
Be patient. Once you start getting close to the property, the directions are perfect and easy to follow.

We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back again someday soon.
Enjoyed Most:
The surrounding countryside was amazingly beautiful! The pool facilities were very nice - a great way to relax after a hot day of touring Florence. The property manager was extremely helpful and provided good advice about the area and tips on getting into Florence.
Enjoyed Least:
The bed - much too soft! There are no screens on the windows, so the room can be quite hot at night with the windows closed. If I were to do it all over again, I would bring some kind of mesh to hang over the open windows.
Surrounding Area:
The scenery was incredible, as well as the small towns that we visited during our drives through the countryside. Greve in Chianti is a nearby small town that is very quaint. Highly recommend a day trip south to Volterra and San Gimignano, but leave early in the morning to beat the crowds.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Montefiridolfi was closest, but it would be a long walk, and there did not appear to be much in the way of services in the town.
Tips or Restaurants:
Mama Rosa's just down the road on the way to San Casciano was an excellent restaurant.
