About The Experience
This charming, elegantly furnished villa (with elevator!) enjoys a great position along the Amalfi Coast, with sea views and proximity to two historic towns. From this villa, you can be in Amalfi or Atrani in six minutes, where you'll love wandering the picturesque streets, discovering great restaurants and cafes or simply admiring the architectural magnificence of centuries past. You can relax on the beach or be adventurous and take a hydrofoil to one of the other lovely Amalfi Coast towns. And when you're not exploring, you'll be able to enjoy the privacy of your own villa with a rooftop pool and terraces, all presenting magnificent views of the coastline and the sea below.
Location Description

This villa enjoys a great location, just three minutes by car to the ocean. It is closest to the town of Atrani, and Amalfi is only six minutes away. Notable as the smallest town in Italy and pictured in one of M C Escher's lithographs, Atrani seems to hang right on the edge of the sea. It is an incredibly magical, picturesque spot and well worth the time spent here. Of course there's even more to do in Amalfi, the namesake town of the Amalfi Coast. An important trading center from the 9th to 13th centuries, Amalfi is surrounded by striking cliffs and coast. Among many shops and cafes you will enjoy the lovely architecture that surrounds you, including the Duomo in the center of town (with Asian influences) and the Cloister of Paridise, which takes a cue from Arabian styles. There is also a museum dedicated to the works of Morelli and a museum where you can view artifacts of Amalfi's long and interesting history. Of course, don't forget to spend some time on the beach! If you feel like exploring elsewhere, ferries and hydrofoils travel from Amalfi to Positano (20 minutes), Salerno (1 hour), Capri (1.5 hours), and Ischia (2.5 hours). This service operates only in summer. Blue SITA busses cost about 1-2 euros, depending on destination. Stops are marked with a blue and white SITA sign. Driving times are: Ravello to Amalfi, 15 minutes; Amalfi to Positano, 30 minutes; Positano to Sorrento, 35 minutes.

Please Note: While the Amalfi Coast is beautiful and charming, it is also steep, with many uphill and downhill stairs and walkways. In general, it is an area that is not kind to those of us with knee or mobility issues. This should be considered before booking a property in this area.

Customer Reviews

Wonderful stay at the villa - would definitely stay again. Property itself was beautiful, view spectacular, and within easy walking distance to Amalfi - a little longer to Ravello, but well worth it. Daniela and Luigi were outstanding! The nights Luigi cooked were unforgettable.
Enjoyed Most:
The view was second to none. Unbelievable, just like a movie.
Enjoyed Least:
There was nothing to dislike in my opinion. Really, everything about the place was great. The outside and inside spaces were wonderful, the kitchen was perfect. If I had any complaint it was that we couldn't find coffee pods for the coffee maker - but we learned how to make coffee in a press!
Surrounding Area:
Amalfi was an excellent place to go for dinner, and to walk around during the day. Ravello was beautiful for the views, and a limoncello in the garden at Villa Cimbrone. Atrani was nice for a drink in the square. It is well worth taking a ferry to Capri, or a bus to Positano for the shopping.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Atrani was a short walk, and Amalfi just a little further. Ravello was an hour walk uphill but well worth it for the views.
Tips or Restaurants:
Anywhere you eat will be great - we didn't have any bad food at all. The pasticceria (pastry shop) in the central Amalfi square is quite tasty and there are great wine stores there as well.
We took a taxi from the train station so we didn't need to worry about directions.
Check In Out:
Everything went smoothly!
