Location Description

The apartment rental is located in a prestigious 17th century palazzo near the Arno River and abuts a narrow, less traveled side street. It is in the heart of Florence and is just 600 meters away from the Duomo. The building is located in the old city center of Florence, where all the major attractions are located. The romantic Ponte Vecchio, designer shops, art galleries and museums are all within 1 km (.62 mi).

Nearby Attractions: The area around the Basilica di Santa Maria dei Fiore, commonly referred to as The “Duomo,” is considered the historic center of the city. From here it is possible to walk north to the San Lorenzo Church, the San Lorenzo outdoor market (where you can find all manner of clothing, shoes and bags,) as well as the not-to-be-missed Mercado Centrale, with its mouthwatering displays of food items. West and north is the train station and the Santa Maris Novella Church. While in this area, it is worthwhile to visit the Officina di Santa Maria Novella… the potpourri perfume will guide you. To the south are the Piazza della Signoria, the political center of Renaissance, the Uffizi Gallery, the Orsanmichele Church, the Casa di Dante, the Badia Fiorentina, and the Ponte Vecchio. Along the way are shops galore! One very interesting place is visit that is southwest of the Duomo, is the Palazzo Davanzati, a beautiful home with period furnishings, originally built in the 14th century. After years of renovation, it is finally open!

Exterior Description

The apartment is located in a classic style old Florentine building with an arched stone entry and green wooden shutters on the window. The building is in the historic center of Florence. It is in a relatively quiet location.

Interior Description

First Floor (with elevator): All of the rooms are well lit at night and have ample natural daylight. The rooms also have high ceilings and the floors are terracotta tile or parquet and have area rugs. The apartment’s foyer leads into a spacious living room with TV and a dining table. The living room has a large fireplace and a very comfortable sofa (sofa bed) and chairs (one of which can be converted to a sleeping place for one person). The apartment also has a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms. The kitchen has a skylight and a table. It has a doorway that leads to the private interior garden patio. The two bedrooms on the first floor are spacious and well-lit. Two of the bedrooms can be arranged as either king (180 cm) or twin-beds (90 cm). The configuration must be requested in advance. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom with shower. The second bathroom is located off a small hallway adjoining the living room and has both a tub and shower.

Mezzanine Level: The third bedroom is located up a small flight of stairs off of the kitchen. It is a quiet single bedroom with (90 cm) single bed. There is also a bathroom with shower on this level.
