A small family or couple can rent this ideally situated apartment in the heart of Rome. The apartment is surrounded by the most prestigious historical and artistic sites of the city. Many are within walking distance. The nearby main streets have many fashion shops and other enticements. A full range of hotel concierge and housekeeping services are available.

The apartment building is within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain, the Quirinal Palace, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia, Roman Forum and the Colosseum. There is an internet shop in the same building and a supermarket is next door.
Nearby Attractions: A monument to Roman Baroque style, the Piazza di Spagna is one of the best people-watching spots in Rome. Around the piazza are several very well-known tea rooms including the famous Babington’s English Tea Room and the Café Greco. The house where English poets John Keats and Lord Byron lived and died, is on the right hand corner, as one begins to climb the 138 steps. This is an ideal neighborhood for shopping (or window shopping) at famous boutiques such as Prada, Valentino, and Gucci (Via dei Condotti).

Second Floor (with elevator): This small apartment has two rooms. There is a living room with dining area and a small kitchenette (sink, 2-burner hot plate and a microwave; storage is under the sink). The living room has a sofa bed (85 cm mattress) that can accommodate one person. The bedroom has a king-size (180 cm mattress) bed and a small private bathroom with shower. The bedroom accesses a private terrace that overlooks the courtyard. The terrace has been furnished with table and chairs. Each room has air conditioning and heating.

Overall:
It was only ok. The apartment feels more like a hotel room in a very urban part of Rome. It lacks charm, but is convenient.
Enjoyed Most:
The central location made it easy to walk to sites, but we would have preferred a more historic/charming area even if less convenient.
Enjoyed Least:
The size and lack of a proper kitchen. There was a 2-burner "hot plate" and a microwave. No oven or counter space. China storage was under the sink. Difficult to organize a meal. The bathroom is small.
Surrounding Area:
Being able to walk to the ancient ruins and several of the Baroque palaces.
Tips or Restaurants:
Think of it as a city hotel, not an apartment. We ate at a wonderful, 4-star restaurant, Il Convivio, near Piazza Navona for a fabulous (very expensive) treat. One of our favorite evenings was a concert at Santa Agnese in Agone, after the church had closed (tickets through Tickitaly.com)

Angelo, the apartment owner, was very helpful and accommodating. He runs a nearby hotel that provided maid service for us.

Location, lots of street vendors spoiling an otherwise beautiful walking city.

Enjoyed Most:
Very modern and close--within a 15-minute walk to major sites.
Surrounding Area:
Close to restaurants, supermarkets, and touristic sites.
Tips or Restaurants:
Eat at any restaurant, never had a bad meal.
Go to Campo di Fiori and eat at Ristocampo and try any panini on the menu. It is just off the piazza. The best paninis ever. Went back for a second time to grab a panini for the plane ride home.
Directions:
Very easy to get to from Termini Train Station. Only three blocks away. Easy walk
Check In Out:
We arrived about a half-hour early and the apartment of course was not ready. Went out to get something to eat and came back a few hours later. The owner of the apartment and hotel was great. Showed us around the apartment and how to use everything, showed us where the apartment was in relation to the sites of Rome. Angelo was wonderful!
