About The Experience
Talk about gorgeous scenery! This villa apartment is located on the water’s edge of the Amalfi Coast between the village of Minori and the town of Amalfi and the views are just splendid. Walk to shops, restaurants and markets, as well as access to the sea from this Italian villa or take a bus to other fun towns like Ravello and Positano. A dream vacation is awaiting you and your family at this apartment on the Amalfi Coast, where there is a staircase from the house leading down 140 steps to the sea!
Location Description

The property is located one kilometer from Minori where there are many shops, restaurants, and markets as well as banks. Small and yet pleasant, this seaside town was founded by ancient roman aristocrats who chose this place for its beautify and mild climate. The Basilica of Santa Trofinena and the Church of Santa Lucia should visited for their great architecture. Amalfi is a town that dates back to the 6th century and was once an important trading center with historical and medieval architecture throughout the town. The main sites include the Duomo, in Amalfi's center, the cathedral of Sant' Andrea, which dates back to the 11th century, and the Cloister of Paradise. There is also a museum dedicated to the works of Morelli and a museum where you can view artifacts of Amalfi's long and interesting history. During the summer months, there are daily ferries leaving from Amalfi to Capri, Positano, Sorrento, and Naples, although there are always buses connecting the towns along the Amalfi Coast.

Please Note: While the Amalfi Coast is beautiful and charming, it is also steep, with many uphill and downhill stairs and walkways. In general, it is an area that is not kind to those of us with knee or mobility issues. This should be considered before booking a property in this area.

Nearby Attractions: shops, restaurants, cafes, markets, the beach, bus stop, Positano, Amalfi (Duomo, ancient cathedral, museums, ferries), Ravello, Sorrento, Naples airport.

Customer Reviews

We had a lovely stay.
Enjoyed Most:
The amazing view!
Enjoyed Least:
A little upgrading of the bedding would make the bedrooms more comfortable. Also, late September is still warm without the lovely large doors being open, but the mosquitoes are pretty bad. Bring netting!
Surrounding Area:
It was MUCH less crowded than the larger, more well-known towns.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Minori is less than a mile away, and Maiori is less than 2 miles. You do have to walk along the extremely busy coast road, however, but we managed a lot of walking without incident.
Tips or Restaurants:
I had packed Cutter bug wipes (found on Amazon), which were not smelly or sticky so were easy to apply as you got into bed. Many outlets in Italy now require the Italian version of a grounded plug, so a good idea to add one or two of these newer adaptors to your travel gear.
Check In Out:
Once we met Francesca at the house, everything was very easy. We had no issues with electricity or anything. The trash sorting is rather different from the US, but it's not hard. Check-out was a breeze.

Beautiful property with great grounds in great location with an easy access to Minori
Enjoyed Most:
The villa itself is really magnificent, but could use some TLC.
Enjoyed Least:
It's important to note that the WiFi only works in the living room. As indicated in the description, there is no satellite TV. The portable air conditioner provided only works as a fan. We found the kitchen to be inadequately equipped for cooking.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Minori - yes, lovely quiet village. One of the great things about the vacation. Easily walkable.
We took a car service.
Check In Out:
Be prepared to pay up-front costs in cash on arrival.

The old villa has beautiful gardens. The gardener Gigi was delightful and helpful. We did a lot of sign language and that worked very well. Being at the edge of the sea was amazing, also. The quietness most of the time was refreshing but know that the villa is the middle floor; there is one villa below and one villa above Casa Minori. It's all the same building. The property manager (one of them), Francesca was a young, super friendly girl who could not do enough for us.
Enjoyed Most:
Quietness most of the time. Scenery. Old decor and beauty. Beautiful gardens to stroll in if you love plants and trees like we do. At least a 50 year old fig tree growing out of a rock side terrace happy as a lark bearing dozens of unripe figs.
Enjoyed Least:
Amenities were sparse. One set of towels provided for the week. The kitchen was not stocked with any basics, such as paper towels or dish soap.
Surrounding Area:
Short walk to Minori. Beautiful, friendly people. Though Italians in that area are supposedly use to it, walking on the road is one dangerous experience moment by moment. Do NOT plan on renting a car.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Minori, Maori, Amalfi. Yes, Amalfi is the furthest. Ravello is above Minori about 3000 steps, I am not kidding. Some folks we met tried it but only one way. It is grueling if you are not use to REALLY walking straight up amd straight down. We walked a lot up and down in Minori just to get there everyday I imagine it will take about 30 days for my knees to get back to normal.
Tips or Restaurants:
There was another restaurant to the right facing the church--was a mother and son who have a wonderful restaurant. Mommy does all the cooking it was delicious.
We did not rent a car.
