About The Experience: This villa near Barcelona is truly a delight and is an ideal place for friends and family. Not only can you walk to a charming village, but take a short drive to Sitges where there are beaches, restaurants, and festivities all year long! The property grounds are peaceful and feature a private pool, sauna, and outdoor living room.

Location Description

The property is located 500 meters from Sant Pere de Ribes where there are a few shops, restaurants, and a market as well as a 12th century castle. Three kilometers away is Sitges, a fabulous destination with lots of gorgeous beaches (17 to be exact!). Sitges is also home to many chic boutiques, restaurants, and cafes as well as a cinema. Today it’s renowned for its annual film festival in October and its carnival held between the months of February and March. During this time there are concerts, parades, and dances where the whole town will be celebrating. The main sights in Sitges include the Church of San Bartolome y Santa Tecla and the Palau Maricel. When you’d like to venture a bit further, the perfect destination for a day trip is Barcelona. Take a drive and visit Las Ramblas, the Park Guell, and the Sagrada Familia Church. There are also countless restaurants, shops, and activities.

Exterior Description: (4,000m2) This villa is situated in residential neighborhood and is surrounded by a garden. There is a covered outdoor living area with couches and chairs. Nearby is another covered terrace with a barbecue and a table with chairs. This leads to a grass-landscaped lawn with sun loungers and umbrellas that surround a private swimming pool (7m x 23m), perfect for swimming laps! There is also a sauna and a shower. Access to the property is via a paved road and parking is available within the grounds.

Interior Description

(400 m2)
Ground Floor: There is a living room with a fireplace, large couch, satellite TV, DVD player, and VCR. A dining area has a table with chairs and the kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, and dishwasher as well as another table with chairs. There is one bedroom on this floor with a 150 cm narrow queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.

First Floor: A staircase leads up to eight bedrooms and five bathrooms. Each of the eight bedrooms has a 150 narrow cm queen-sized bed. The five bathrooms each have a sink, toilet, and shower.

Overall:
Wonderful location. Beautiful, clean facility. Kitchen had plenty of dishes. Having water jugs available was perfect.

The nearby town was easy to walk to and explore. Many of us like to exercise and this was perfect for walking and jogging.

St pere de Ribes- yes, we walked.
Tips or Restaurants:
Clubhouse had great food. Just wander and check out outdoor dining places. We never had a bad meal. Suggestion - stock up at the local grocery store with wine and cheese for the evenings. Keep breakfast food for the mornings as well. (croissants, jams, eggs)
Directions:
We brought a GPS. We were not the first to arrive. It is only hard to find the first time. Just describe the gate.

Overall:
The overall experience was very good. The villa is located in a very quiet location and affords excellent privacy even though you are in the midst of a residential area.
Enjoyed Most:
The location of the villa was excellent. It is a short walk to the Sant Pere de Ribes town center and a 5 minute drive to the beach resort of Sitges. It was far enough from Barcelona to avoid the bustle of the city, but a quick 40 minute drive to Barcelona.
Enjoyed Least:
The only real issue we had was with the hot water. At one point, the hot water heater was not working for most of the day. However, the maintenance crew did eventually address the issue.
Surrounding Area:
The towns surrounding the villa afforded good access to grocery stores, shopping and a multitude of dining options. There is also a very good restaurant, Clubhouse 27 within 100 feet of the entrance to the villa.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Sant Pere de Ribes is a 5 minute walk from the villa.
Directions:
We used GPS devices to find the property originally. Once you drive around the area for a few days, finding the property is reasonably easy. The most confusing part in finding the property is determining that upon entering the subdivision, you need to make a right turn and then 4 left turns to enter the property gate since the villa is located on a 1-way street.

The check in and check out processes were relatively easy.

Overall:
Loved by our whole group. Good base for day trips. Easy bus to Barcelona. Convenient easy walk to town (Sant Pere de Ribes) for daily groceries. Villa large enough that you could gather as a group or find a quiet spot to hibernate. Very comfortable and well supplied. Support management excellent and all issues dealt with immediately.
Enjoyed Most:
Privacy of compound and layout was excellent. Quiet and comfortable. Enjoyed the pool area and ping pong table.
Enjoyed Least:
Wifi system could be improved if possible. Perhaps brighter lights in living room.
Surrounding Area:
Walk to restaurants, Clubhouse 27 and Tennis Club for easy, delicious meals when we didn't want to drive out. Security service in neighborhood was excellent. We felt very safe. People were very friendly and helpful.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Sant Pere de Ribes and yes, 10 minute walk to bakery and grocery store. Local hospital within 10 minute drive with most services.
Tips or Restaurants:
Villa well stocked and can buy locally whatever you might need. Clubhouse 27 and Tennis Club both have great meals. Sunday BBQ at Tennis Club a nice option since most restaurants close if you rent before mid-June. Dinner at El Carnivore was expensive but a wonderful dining experience in service, ambience and food. 10 minute drive from villa.
Directions:
Directions are good. We used a GPS and met Saskia at the Clubhouse restaurant .
Check In Out:
Check in and out easy. We found all staff Alex, Saskia and Theresa very helpful and their presence and attention made our stay most enjoyable. Would definitely recommend for large group and would stay again.
