Ground Floor (All Rooms): Throughout the home the ceilings are constructed with brick inlaid on large wooden beams typical of Tuscany. The walls are white and all rooms have ceiling fans for guest comfort. The table lamps are handmade and decorated ceramic. The wall fixtures are brass. The entire home is covered with wireless internet for guest use 24/7 at no additional cost. All bathrooms are luminous and each has window openings.
Living Room, Dining Room/Kitchen: The front double door entrance leads directly to the living room (25 sq m/270 sq ft) which is comfortably furnished with two large sofas (one is a sofa bed suitable for one, with a 120 cm mattress) and easy chair offering guests a large conversational area with coffee table and flat screen satellite television entertainment. The wood burning fireplace provides a cozy atmosphere. The writing desk offers a portable internet tablet for guest use. The series of 12 hand painted lithographs depicting colorful plants and herbs brings the feel of the countryside into the home. A large arched opening joins the living room with the kitchen/dining room (25 sq m/270 sq ft). The kitchen island provides a spacious and functional food preparation space as it overlooks both the dining and living rooms. Guests have a microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, dishwasher, electric ceramic glass cook top area and electric oven as well as all standard kitchen equipment and utensils. All kitchen appliances and home accessories including pots, pans, plates, and utensils are new (2012). The open dining area offers a large table with seating for 8 persons. There is an antique “madia” or bread cabinet for storage. 10 colorful hand painted lithographs adorning the walls depict various professions from the 1600’s. The in-home laundry room (5 sq m/54 sq ft) houses the washing machine and provides a storage area. An arched corridor (5 sqm/54 sqft) with wood beamed ceiling provides entrance to the wooden double doors leading to the master suite.
First Bedroom: (19 sqm/200 sqft) is light and airy with four windows on the three outer walls overlooks the countryside and contains a queen size bed, two night tables, an armadio, and writing desk with chair. Six hand colored lithographs depict the various counties in England, and an original drawing, Milan 1845, illustrates major nations and their populations. The suite includes a private bathroom (5 sq m/54 sq ft) with double sink, WC, bidet, and shower/tub with sliding glass doors and wall mounted removable shower head.
Second Bedroom: (14 sq m/150 sq ft) has a queen size bed, two night tables, an armadio, and writing desk with chair. The room has three windows overlooking the countryside. Hand painted lithographs depicting English military adorn the room as do prints of Napoleon’s battles. The private en-suite bathroom (4 sq m/43 sq ft) has a double sink, WC, bidet, and shower/tub with glass sliding doors and wall mounted removable shower head.
Third Bedroom: (14 sq m/150 sq ft) has three windows and offers a queen size bed, two night tables, an armadio, and writing desk with chair. Original hand painted lithographs dated 1815 adorn the room as does an original topographic drawing from Sicily, 1892. The third bathroom offering double sink, WC, bidet, and shower stall with wall mounted removable shower head is conveniently located adjacent to this bedroom and is also easily accessed from the living room.
