About The Experience
Set high overlooking the sea, this unique villa has access to a neighborhood elevator that will take you to a beach that is only for guests of the small residential community! In addition, the villa has a private pool and large terrace with wonderful views. Positano is only two kilometers away.
Location Description

The property is located two kilometers of the center of Positano where there are restaurants, shops, ice creameries, markets, a bank, and post office. From the town center is a pedestrian path of 600 meters, which will lead to Spiaggia Grande Beach. There are also bus stops in town that can take you up and down to other beautiful towns along the coast, including Amalfi, which dates back to the 6th century and was once an important trading center. The main sites include the Duomo, in Amalfi's center, the cathedral of Sant' Andrea, which dates back to the 11th century, and the Cloister of Paradise. There is also a museum dedicated to the works of Morelli and a museum where you can view artifacts of Amalfi's long and interesting history. During the summer months, there are daily ferries leaving from Amalfi to Capri, Sorrento, and Naples, although there are always buses connecting the towns along the Amalfi Coast.

Please Note: While the Amalfi Coast is beautiful and charming, it is also steep, with many uphill and downhill stairs and walkways. In general, it is an area that is not kind to those of us with knee or mobility issues. This should be considered before booking a property in this area.

Nearby Attractions: Positano (shops, restaurants, cafes, markets, beach, bus stop), Amalfi (Duomo, ancient cathedral, museums, ferries), Ravello (Duomo, Villa Cimbrone, and Villa Rufolo gardens), Sorrento (Chiesa di San Francesco, ancient cathedral, Museo Correale), Naples airport

Customer Reviews

Stunningly beautiful views and very nice property. Very nice time there.
Enjoyed Most:
The view and outdoor space.
Enjoyed Least:
The fact that the villa is in part joined to two other units in very close quarters. I did not enjoy the fact that the outdoor space overlooked the others. It did not provide the privacy I expected. We could have used more dishes, utensils and glasses for our group of 7.
Surrounding Area:
The villa was too far from Positano to walk. Without a shuttle bus it was expensive to cab to and from. The local bus was unreliable, hot and crowded.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano and no it was not within a reasonable walking distance. Going down was possible but walking back up, near impossible.
Check In Out:
Check in and out ok. Giovanni was helpful.

We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Sole. The funicular down to the property helped immensely, and the situation and view were exceptional.
Enjoyed Most:
The view was breathtaking. Private bathrooms for all bedrooms were a bonus and the outdoor living and small pool made the most of the location.
Enjoyed Least:
The kitchen was not well-equipped.
Surrounding Area:
The elevator down to the beach was a bonus, however the beach is as those around, very rocky and not easy to spend time at. The house is located not far from the road down into Positano so a great location.
Nearby Events or Locales:
It is within walking distance however take advantage of the free shuttle from the hotel above, to ride back up from Positano, otherwise it is a long hot walk.
Tips or Restaurants:
A good kitchen knife if you want to cook!
No problem finding the property
Check In Out:
This went smoothly and it was great to have bags carried down to the villa.

I truly enjoyed our experience. The property was a great location with spectacular views all around. I would definitely go back.
Enjoyed Most:
The fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom and that for the most part, no matter where you were on the property you had a great view.
Surrounding Area:
The view. The people were all friendly and helpful.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. You could either use the stairs or walk single file on the road which was easier on the knees. That being said, we were there in low season there was still traffic.
Tips or Restaurants:
We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at the Saracena d'Oro. The staff was very pleasant as well. If you are going to buy a lemon granita as you enter the village of Positano there is a lady under a big tree and she by far has the best one.
We did not use a GPS and hired a driver from the airport in Naples to bring up to/from the villa
Check In Out:
It was perfect.
