Everyone wants to stay on Lake Como! This beautiful villa is divided into two separate units, one on the ground floor (Villa Menaggio 1) that sleeps 12, and one on the first floor (Villa Menaggio 2) that sleeps 6. The units can be rented together for a group of 18, or separately. The villa is located right on the lake with spectacular views, and it is only 1 km from the town of Menaggio with its many shops and restaurants.

Location Description

This beautiful Lake Como villa is located just 1 km from the town of Menaggio, which can be reached by foot in about 25 minutes. Menaggio, the largest town in the central lake area, which includes Varenna and Bellagio, has Roman origins and boasts a charming historic center. The town is a “local” haunt, as well as a tourist destination. It has a very nice lakefront promenade with the largest Lido on the lake, Lido Giardino Menaggio, which has a large pool (25m), children’s pool, and a beach with sun loungers, lake access, volley ball, playground and a pizzeria. There is very good public transportation via buses and ferries. Bellagio and Varenna are also important to visit, even if the former is filled with tourists during the summer season. Varenna is lovely with a wonderful lakeside promenade and the Villa Monastero.

Nearby Attractions: Be sure to utilize the Tourist Office in the main square of Piazza Garibaldi. They can give you lots of helpful information, including timetables, brochures, maps and current events in the area. Also, visit the surrounding villages, including Porlezza (on the way to Lugano) and Val Solda, a string of small villages referred to as the “Piccolo Mondo Antico.” The Tremezzina area is worth a trip, as well, with wonderful little villages, such as Carlotta and Balbianello, with beautiful villas to visit.

Villa Menaggio 1
This spectacular villa has sleek and stylish décor and views of the James Bond villa, Villa Gaeta. The villa is divided into two independent villas, divided by floor, and each with its own entrance. This villa is the ground floor section and sleeps a total of 12. The first floor apartment sleeps 6. They can be rented together to sleep 18. There is a short stairway to enter the ground floor.
Ground Floor: The open-plan living area is divided into two sitting areas with sofas which allow for space to spread out. Also in the large and bright room is a dining table to seat up to 12 people. There is a Satellite TV, DVD and CD player, WiFi and air conditioning throughout the villa. The spacious living room, with floor-to-ceiling windows, opens out to a large terrace with views onto Lake Como. There is a table for al fresco dining, lounge chairs, siting area, Jacuzzi, and a covered area. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and serves the needs of a large group. It is possible to arrange for a cook to prepare meals or to have someone deliver deli and food items to the villa.
The sleeping area is also divided into two separate parts with three double bedrooms in each. This is a nice arrangement for two families where some privacy is desired. Four of the bedrooms have a king-size bed (180 cm) and an en suite bathroom. Two bedrooms each have twin beds (90 cm) and an en suite bathroom. Of the six bathrooms, 5 have a shower and one has a bathtub. A portable baby crib can be added in one of the larger rooms upon request. All bedrooms are supplied with a safe for valuables. Three of the bedrooms have a balcony facing the lake. On the ground floor there is also a guest bathroom with a toilet.

Villa Menaggio 2
This penthouse apartment is located on the first (top) floor of the stylish Villa Menaggio.
First Floor (up a flight of stairs): The open-plan living area has white wooden ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows with spectacular lake views. There are two couches and a dining table for six, as well as a Satellite TV, DVD and CD player and WiFi. Off of the living/dining room there is a terrace overlooking the lake with smaller terraces on the sides of the building. The kitchen, close to the dining area, is modern and fully equipped, including a breakfast bar. It is possible to arrange for a cook to prepare meals or to have someone deliver deli and food items to the villa.
The three spacious bedrooms each have a small private balcony, safe, and an en suite bathroom, two with showers and one with bathtub. Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds (180 cm) and the third bedroom have twin beds. There is also a guest bathroom with a toilet.
