About The Experience
This charming Mediterranean villa is carefully decorated to provide an inviting atmosphere. Guests have plenty of room to dine and lounge alfresco on the terrace while enjoying breathtaking views. There are several markets in close proximity to the villa; you can purchase everything you need to whip up a delicious Italian meal for friends or family. The town of Positano is minutes away by foot (expect steep downhill and uphill!), and there are the shops, beaches, and restaurants at your disposal.
Location Description

Positano possesses a dream-like quality that truly must be experienced to be understood. The charming pastel residences sit along narrow, winding roads on steep hillsides overlooking the Mediterranean. From the villa you are a downhill and uphill climb to/from the center of town and to/from the nearest beach. Fornillo beach is accessible down a flight of 120 steps. If time permits, hire one of the town’s “sea taxis”; small boats which will transport visitors to secluded bays only accessible by boat. Wander in to the many colorful boutiques or quaint cafés. Be sure to try some of the town’s very popular Limoncello!

Please Note: While the Amalfi Coast is beautiful and charming, it is also steep, with many uphill and downhill stairs and walkways. In general, it is an area that is not kind to those of us with knee or mobility issues. This should be considered before booking a property in this area.

Nearby Attractions: Bus stops in town can take you up and down other beautiful towns along the coast, including Amalfi. Amalfi is a town that dates back to the 6th century and was once an important trading center with historical and medieval architecture throughout the town. The main sites include the Duomo, in Amalfi's center, the cathedral of Sant' Andrea, which dates back to the 11th century, and the Cloister of Paradise. There is also a museum dedicated to the works of Morelli and a museum where you can view artifacts of Amalfi's long and interesting history. During the summer months, there are daily ferries leaving from Positano to Capri, Sorrento, and Naples.

Customer Reviews

Very good. The villa is spacious and the views spectacular.
Enjoyed Most:
The terrace and the views.
Enjoyed Least:
The property could use a little upkeep. New pillows would be a nice improvement.
Surrounding Area:
Everything! The restaurants, beaches, ferries, visiting Amalfi, Ravello, Capri, Sorrento, and hiking on athe Path of the Gods.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. Yes.
Tips or Restaurants:
Favorite restaurants were Next2, Da Vincenza, and La Tagliata. Also good were Da Gabrisa, Bruno, Saraceno d'Oro, Cera una Volta, and L'Ancora.
We were told we had to meet the rep at the beginning of Viale Pasitea and would go to the bottom of the stairs to the villa. I know my way around Positano and knew if we met at the top of the stairs (on the main road) we would bring our luggage down 88 stairs instead of up 148 stairs. Ultimately, she did meet us at the top of the stairs.
Check In Out:
The rep was not available when we arrived in Positano and so we had to wait on the road as our driver had to leave. I can't complain, however, because the rep allowed us to check in prior to the check in time.

Lovely villa.
Enjoyed Most:
Location- close to bus station and high up.
Enjoyed Least:
It might be nice to have specifics on stores in areas (local grocery) vs. info provided verbally-- we weren't processing everything due to level of fatigue! The amount of steps to/from villa is VERY difficult for some people- our group was fine but needed a porter to get our luggage up the steps at end of trip. Banging suitcases down the steps was also trying--might have a porter there when people check in--ask if you want one. It is a hike!
Surrounding Area:
Capri and Sorrento, Ravello.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Tips or Restaurants:
Cooking class was great Buca de Beccas, though pricey. I like the "local" scoop/info vs. being trapped as tourists and paying outrageous prices. Considering cost of villa, local info would help, and not just business cards but the real deal. Where does the owner go??
Had driver.
Check In Out:
All good. Carmela accommodated us by checking out the night prior due to early flight.
