About The Experience
Sitting atop the hillsides along the Sorrento’s coast, this beautiful Mediterranean villa is a fusion of both modern simplicity and traditional charm. From its position above the Sorrento Peninsula—halfway between Sorrento and Positano—the villa offers guests stunning panoramic views from its expansive gardens and terraces. Guests will love the indulgent comforts of a sauna, Jacuzzi tub, the chromo-therapy shower, and the large sun deck that leads into the pool, from which you can enjoy lovely views of the sea. The position of the villa allows for access to the towns along the coast: Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Pompeii, and Capri.
Location Description

The villa sits halfway between Sorrento and Positano. The location allows for day trips into the nearby towns along the Amalfi Coast. You are not far from the village of Sant’ Agata sui due Golfi—often described as one of the pearls of the gulf. It offers a number of sweeping sea views and has been a small but consistently popular retreat throughout history-- visited by the Etruscans, Greeks, and Romans in turn. Here you'll find shops and fine restaurants, while local sights include the parish church, a monastery, archaeological ruins, and several hiking trails. The village is also known for their particular type of lemon “femminello ovale” used in many renowned local dishes. The larger town of Sorrento is among the treasures of the Sorrento Peninsula, overlooking the bay of Naples. This is an excellent base for exploration of the entire coastline, as ferries provide daily service to Naples, Amalfi, Positano, and the islands of Capri and Ischia. The Circumvesuviana train also runs regularly (about every half hour) to Pompei and Naples.

Nearby Attractions: Positano is known for its dream-like quality. The charming pastel residences sit along narrow, winding roads on steep hillsides overlooking the Mediterranean. The beach, Spiaggia Grande, has been described as one of the most beautiful beaches along the coast, but for more peace and privacy, seek out Fornillo beach, accessed along a coastal path via Spiaggia Grande. Amalfi is a town that dates back to the 6th century, with historical and medieval architecture throughout. The main sites include the Duomo, in Amalfi's center, the cathedral of Sant' Andrea, which dates back to the 11th century, and the Cloister of Paradise. There is also a museum dedicated to the works of Morelli and a museum where you can view artifacts of Amalfi's long and interesting history.

Beautiful property but not well stocked
(Property note: You need to buy your kitchen supplies for your week in the grocery store. Common for many rentals) Enjoyed Most:
Enjoyed Least:
Kitchen. The refrigerator was absolutely too small and was in adequate for a group of 10. There was not a single Connor condiment provided including salt and pepper. (Our property is self accommodating, with a typical Italian fridge that is small to American standards.)
Surrounding Area:
Close to small town

Tips or Restaurants:
Bring your own washcloths and toilet paper as we had a hard time getting them to supply us with more toilet paper. (Owners are not required to do this)
We did not need to worry about the driving as we had a shuttle bring us to the property
Check In Out:
Marco did review things with us but so quickly we did not remember how to operate the gate from inside the house without using the remote. People were constantly coming and going including the housekeeper and groundskeeper and it would've been nice to know when to expect them.
