About The Experience
This beautiful villa is situated on an expansive Tuscan countryside estate. The villa sits on sprawling lawn and Mediterranean garden, where children will love the space to play. The villa was recently restored and has modern conveniences while maintaining traditional rustic charm. The flagstone courtyard is partially enclosed with accommodations for alfresco dining on one side, and a pool and lounge area with umbrellas on the other. In this ideal setting, peace, privacy, and panoramic views of Tuscany’s valleys and hillsides are yours for the taking.
Location Description

Castelfiorentino has all the necessities including a train station. Here you can explore the Romanesque-Gothic church of St. Francis (13th century), the Romanesque pieve of Santi Pietro e Paolo, at Coiano (11th century) and the Sanctuary of Santa Verdiana (18th century). San Gimignano—one of the most visited towns in Tuscany—is known for its rich history dating back to the Etruscan times. It is full of life and things to do. Popular attractions include the famous towers, the 12th century Duomo, the People's Palace, and several museums dedicated to artwork and archeology. There are also wine tasting tours, art galleries, shops, and good restaurants. Numerous celebrations and gatherings are held every year including a music festival featuring theater, ballet, and opera performances, and a Medieval Harvest festival where the people of San Gimignano dress up as knights, play medieval games, and have tournaments.

Nearby Attractions: Whether you prefer art, history, culture, regional events, or undemanding relaxation, there is no better locale for exploring Tuscany than the area near Montaione. The charming hilltop town of Montaione, with Etruscan origins, is located in the center of the triangle formed by the historic cities of Florence, Pisa, and Siena, each approximately 50 kilometers away. Here you can enjoy the atmosphere of a typical Tuscan town, shop at the outdoor markets, visit one of the churches, peruse the crafts market for treasures, and pick up your groceries. This is a great location for enjoying the Tuscan countryside, as well as for taking day trips to San Gimignano, Siena, and Volterra, a 30-minute drive away.

Customer Reviews

Enjoyed Most:
Cleanliness, décor, location, outside sitting areas.
Enjoyed Least:
Surrounding Area:
Easy to visit many places of interest, such as Florence, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, and Livorno.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Montaione, not within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
Everything needed was provided, except for laundry soap. You really can't go wrong with the restaurants. We particularly liked the Coop in Montaione for grocery shopping.
