About The Experience
This beautiful villa is situated on an expansive Tuscan countryside estate. Perched on a small hilltop, the villa is surrounded by cypress and overlooks the rolling hillsides. The Mediterranean garden—near the pool—is fenced at the bottom. There is plenty of outdoor space for lounging and alfresco dining, and lights illuminate the exterior for nighttime entertaining. The villa offers guests peace and privacy, yet it is only a short drive from a town where you have access to everything from restaurants, groceries, shopping, and historical sights!
Location Description

Castelfiorentino has all the necessities including a train station. Here you can explore the Romanesque-Gothic church of St. Francis (13th century), the Romanesque pieve of Santi Pietro e Paolo, at Coiano (11th century) and the Sanctuary of Santa Verdiana (18th century). San Gimignano—one of the most visited towns in Tuscany—is known for its rich history dating back to the Etruscan times. It is full of life and things to do. Popular attractions include the famous towers, the 12th century Duomo, the People's Palace, and several museums dedicated to artwork and archeology. There are also wine tasting tours, art galleries, shops, and good restaurants. Numerous celebrations and gatherings are held every year including a music festival featuring theater, ballet, and opera performances, and a Medieval Harvest festival where the people of San Gimignano dress up as knights, play medieval games, and have tournaments.

Nearby Attractions:
Whether you prefer art, history, culture, regional events, or undemanding relaxation, there is no better locale for exploring Tuscany than the area near Montaione. The charming hilltop town of Montaione, with Etruscan origins, is located in the center of the triangle formed by the historic cities of Florence, Pisa, and Siena, each approximately 50 kilometers away. Here you can enjoy the atmosphere of a typical Tuscan town, shop at the outdoor markets, visit one of the churches, peruse the crafts market for treasures, and pick up your groceries. This is a great location for enjoying the Tuscan countryside, as well as for taking day trips to San Gimignano, Siena, and Volterra, a 30-minute drive away.

Customer Reviews

Enjoyed Most:
The views! Waking up to a beautiful sunrise and then coming back to the villa after a long day and relaxing outside, watching the sunset.
Enjoyed Least:
The bathrooms are somewhat small but that is offset by the fact that there's a bathroom for every bedroom.
Surrounding Area:
We really didn't spend any time in the surrounding area. We thought we would go out to dinner in the local towns more, but ended up enjoying dinners in the villa.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Castelfiorentino is a short drive away....nothing is within walking're pretty isolated which is kind of nice.
Tips or Restaurants:
I highly recommend Alessandra from Wine Tour Adventures and you should definitely have at least one meal prepared in the villa by Cinzia; ask RentVillas to assist with arrangements.
Check In Out:
Someone met us at the villa and we did the check in right there.
