Location Description

The waterfront villa is located along the coastline, overlooking the sea, in Frydendal, on St. Thomas. The property is half a mile from Coki Beach, which is a great spot for snorkeling and is also home to Coral World Ocean Park, which is an aquarium park with sea anemones, sharks, eels and sea turtles. The nearest town is the tiny hamlet of Smith Bay, which has a few bars, fruit stands, convenience stores and a gas station—the town is half a mile away and can be reached on foot, but guests are cautioned against walking there after dark due to safety concerns. A 10-minute drive away (5 miles) is the town of Red Hook, where there areshops, restaurants, a marina, a mall with more than 60 stores. Other local favorites include Lindberg Bay, which is perfect for relaxing because it's rarely crowded, and Hull Bay. Farther away, but surely not to be missed, is Charlotte Amalie, the US Virgin Islands capital. Here there is a large selection of shops, boutiques, restaurants, and historical sites. Daily activities can include kayaking, parasailing, diving, boating, or any other imaginable water sport. St. Thomas also has music, art, and dance festivals, and lots of enjoyable attractions that include a submarine ride and an aerial cable car ride to Paradise Point. A car is necessary.

Exterior Description
(1.5 acres) An electric security gate opens onto a private driveway that leads to this quiet hillside property, which is situated amidst landscaped gardens with views of Thatch Cay, St John and The British Virgin Islands. The rocky shoreline directly below the property is accessible via a staircase of 127 steps (this part of the shoreline is not safe for swimming). On the main level, the large deck runs the length of the villa and features an infinity pool surrounded by sunbeds and an outdoor dining table for 8. The covered porch features sofas, armchairs and a dining table for 6. There is also a Weber propane grill. On the lower level there is a covered outdoor sitting area and a stairway leading up to the pool.Onsite parking is available for three cars.
Interior Description

Main Level: The open living room, kitchen and dining area features two sofas, two armchairs, a coffee table, flat-screen TV, DVD player, iPod dock and dining table for up to 8. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, convection oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, espresso maker, blender and granite island with 4 stools. The outdoor gas grill is just outside the kitchen for easy access. There are two bedrooms on this level. The first is a large master bedroom with a king-size bed (70 in.), two closets, flat-screen TV, doors to a deck with a private sitting area, and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, double sinks, toilet and hairdryer. There is also an adjoining office that can be converted into a bedroom with a standard double bed (55 in., comfortable for one and cozy for two). The second bedroom features a queen bed (63 in.), flat-screen TV and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet and hairdryer. An indoor stairwell and an outdoor stairwell both lead down to the lower level.

Lower Level: There are four bedrooms. The first bedroom is a family suite with a large queen-size bed (63+ in.), flat-screen TV, an adjacent room with a single trundle bed (35 in.), doors to the deck and patio, and an ensuite bathroom with bathtub, shower, sink, toilet and hairdryer. The room with the trundle bed offers access to the laundry room, which features a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron and board. The second and third bedrooms each have a queen-size bed (63 in.) and flat-screen TV, and they share a bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet and hairdryer. The fourth bedroom, which is separate from the main villa and can only be accessed from an entrance on the deck, features a queen-size bed (63 in.), flat-screen TV and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink, toilet and hairdryer.

Please Note:

  • The rocky shoreline directly below the villa is not safe for swimming. Guests are strongly advised to avoid entering the water, as the bordering rocks are quite high and there is no safe way to get back out of the water.
  • All bedrooms have self-controlled air conditioning and most rooms have ceiling fans.
  • Double beds cannot be separated into single beds.
  • There are 6 flat screen TV’s.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside the property.
  • Four beach chairs and two complete sets of snorkel gear are available for guests’ use.
  • One or two additional guests (for a total of 14 guests) may be approved upon request in advance for an extra cost.
  • Midweek housekeeping (approx. 3 hours) is provided for stays of 7 days or more. A specific cleaning day may be requested in advance.
  • A mandatory Government Tax (12.5%) will be charged on all rentals.

  • Along with the final payment, a refundable security deposit is due. You will be requested to mail a check to in the amount listed. The security deposit will be returned to you within 60 days of your departure from the property minus any damages to the property, or any charges incurred during your stay. Everyone departing the United States Virgin Islands, including U.S. Citizens, is now required by U.S. Immigration to show either a valid passport or a certified copy of a birth certificate accompanied by a photo ID. The islands are a “port of entry” to the U.S. mainland – so please don’t forget these for the whole family. You also need them if you plan to visit any of the British Virgin Islands during your stay, even if it is just a day trip.
