About The Experience
Beautiful rooftop views await you from this Amalfi Coast apartment in Ravello. Walking distance to the main square of town, this two bedroom apartment with two terraces is an excellent choice for a romantic getaway or a trip for a small family. With a bus stop in town, it is easy to experience the beautiful coastline and towns.
Location Description

The coast between Reggio and Gaeta is the most beautiful in Italy, and one of the most enchanting spots along the coastline is Ravello. High above the Amalfi Coast, the elegant and aristocratic town of Ravello sits on a 350 foot rocky spur. Offering magnificent palazzos, churches, and gardens bearing witness to its noble history, Ravello’s rich cultural life complements an unmatched, striking beauty. This apartment is 300 meters from the main square of Ravello with its charming shops and local restaurants. There are many classical music concerts in town, as well as sightseeing opportunities at the old estate gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. One of the most important monuments is the Cathedral, founded in 1086, but there is also the church of San Giovanni del Toro, the churches of Santa Maria a Gradillo and Santissima Annunziata, Villa Episcopio, and the Piazza Fontana Moresca. Catch the train in Salerno, or take the bus to one of the beaches along the coast. Take the bus down the hill to Amalfi, where you can rent a boat to explore the coastline, or allow someone else to steer the boats and hydrofoils, as you travel between Positano, Sorrento, Capri, and Salerno.

Please Note: While the Amalfi Coast is beautiful and charming, it is also steep, with many uphill and downhill stairs and walkways. In general, it is an area that is not kind to those of us with knee or mobility issues. This should be considered before booking a property in this area.

Nearby Attractions: Arguably the most peaceful of the Amalfi villages, Ravello has something for everyone. The Ravello Concert Society’s annual season of chamber music hosts concerts between April and October and even more music and events are held during the Ravello Festival, usually each July. Great lunch destinations include Cumpa Cosimo, a traditional trattoria close to the main square, or Il Flauto di Pan, known for its organic ingredients and beautiful sea views.

Customer Reviews

We loved everything about the house and it's surroundings, and particularly the views.
Enjoyed Most:
The views, proximity to the town and the sense of being among local families.
Enjoyed Least:
Construction noises nearby, but of course we understand this is a global phenomenon, and can't be helped.
Surrounding Area:
The views are among the best in the world! Being able to walk everywhere. The stunning gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. The walks down ancient steps through tiny settlements to ancient towns. And always great views.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Ravello was 3 minutes walk away and offered great cafes, ice cream, facilities and people-watching opportunities.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring an open-ness to learning as well as walking shoes and walking sticks if you want to explore the local area via many steps - mostly downhill from Ravello!
Check In Out:
Filomena couldn't have been more helpful and friendly - bouquets to her.

Good location, well maintained, great view.
Enjoyed Most:
The view.
Enjoyed Least:
Shower. Very small.
Surrounding Area:
Able to get to the square within a few minutes as well as the taxi stand.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Scala. Not sure this is the nearest, but it's the nearest we visited. We took a taxi so don't know if it's walkable.
Tips or Restaurants:
Mimi for the best Pizza. Check out the concerts. We did two and they were wonderful. Good shopping without breaking the bank.
We had a driver bring us from Rome so he handled that part for us. Driving is not easy on the Amalfi Coast so I would not recommend renting a car. I have done a lot of driving in Italy but I do not advise it for this destination.
Check In Out:
The check in person was GREAT. She knows the town and had good recommendations for all the other towns we were going to visit. She told us everything we needed to know about the property, the town and more.
