Customer Reviews
Enjoyed Most:
Ambiance.
Staff was very good.
Enjoyed Least:
It became advantageous for us to extend for an extra night and the cost of staying the extra night seemed high.
Surrounding Area:
Walks around the Castle area.
Tips or Restaurants:
We were late arriving and were picked up at the train station. Traffic in Florence is horrendous and we could not find our way out of town. We had concerns about being late because of what we read but they leave a man stationed all night to assist late comers. Our group of 10 people took the bus thereafter despite having cars. We did find cars beneficial for trips to smaller towns. All local restaurants are closed Mondays so its good to eat at the Castle restaurant. The food there is very good, the staff excellent. Dining was a great experience.
Directions:
If the rental car has a GPS learn how to use it. Written directions will be in Italian.

Overall:
We just loved it!
Enjoyed Most:
It was just like being in a little bit of heaven, our own castle! The views from the property were wonderful!
Enjoyed Least:
The restaurant. Although, the special Tuscan dinner was great.
Surrounding Area:
We loved the countryside and winding roads.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Montagna, and yes it was within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
Really stress the late check-in, especially for those like us who take the red eye flights. The castle staff was kind enough to do our room early as we were falling on our faces! Also suggest people bring things like salt and pepper, packets of sugar, and as we did some coffee to get started with.
