Customer Reviews

Overall:
Excellent - it was as described and very comfortable for six people.
Enjoyed Most:
Location and the size of the apartment.
Enjoyed Least:
I can't think of anything.
Surrounding Area:
Many things including museums, shopping and restaurants.
Tips or Restaurants:
Mosquito repellent would be a good thing to have on hand. There are so many restaurants to enjoy, but I will give special mention to Dino Ristorante (www.ristorantedino.it) which was absolutely fabulous and near the apartment.
Directions:
Taxi from airport went right to front door - no issue.
Check In Out:
Thank you for accommodating our Sunday evening arrival and the process was seamless.

Overall:
Very good.
Enjoyed Most:
Location in historic district in Florence. View from the apartment verlooking Santa Croce, and the Duomo.
Surrounding Area:
Easy walking to more local spots for eating, market, and tourist spots were no more than 15 minutes to about anything. The book the property manager left us had great restaurant and wine shop recommendations. The property manager was very helpful on any requests we had. (printing things, etc.)
Nearby Events or Locales:
Heart of Florence. Everything was walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
Make sure you have credit cards with chips for use in Europe. Also have your PIN handy as many kiosks (train station) require that in order to buy tickets electronically.
Directions:
Be clear that the entrance is off the piazza Santa Croce (south side). When using Google maps, it shows the building, but it's not clear on where entrance is located.
Check In Out:
Make sure you set your phone up for international dialing, and know how to dial the number for the property manager when you arrive. (You don't need the country code up front in Italy, but you might need the city code).

Overall:
We have rented wonderful apartments in London, Rome, Venice, New Zealand, and Australia. This was the best property overall - amenities, location, comfort, size, etc.
Enjoyed Most:
It was luxurious, but also comfortable and homey.
Enjoyed Least:
One of the bedrooms was on the plaza and a little bit louder at night but it didn't seem to disturb our twenty year old kids.
Surrounding Area:
Santa Croce Church, the piazza, the restaurants, the shops, and the fact that we could walk everywhere - the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi.
Nearby Events or Locales:
This property is centrally and ideally located in Firenze.
Tips or Restaurants:
The Conad grocery store nearby is a great place to purchase items to make use of the kitchen and gorgeous dining room. There is a great place on the corner for cappuccino/espresso, pastries and sandwiches. Other recommended restaurants are Le Fonticine, Gustavino and the restaurant next door.
Directions:
Directions were very clear.
Check In Out:
It was extremely easy and Francesca was incredibly welcoming and helpful.

Overall:
It was great! We enjoyed being in the heart of Florence. We found things to be very accessible within walking distance. Piazza Santa Croce is a wonderful place and full of life.
Enjoyed Most:
We were three couples and early into our trip planning we decided to find a place that we could all be together relaxing or sitting together sharing the days events. The villa apartment provided just that and more. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and sharing an occasional meal "at home". We truly felt like we were living like the Italians.
Surrounding Area:
The beauty of the architecture and the rolling hills of Tuscany in the distance. With every turn there was a beautiful statue, church or a fresco.
Tips or Restaurants:
The book you sent, "Living Like a Local" was very helpful! I would suggest that this particular villa provide directions to the local grocery stores or small markets. After several days we found several little markets that met our needs, but we found them only through exploring. The Walking Tours of Florence that was listed in the binder they left for us was excellent! I would recommend that they keep a copy of their brochure with the binder as there were many options. Also suggest that any clients using this tour company should take "The Best of Tuscany" tour. It was fantastic and ask for Stefan who was a fun and knowledgeable guide! As for restaurants, we loved the Golden View. It is on the Arno. It had a great wine selection and the food was great! We also liked Zio Gigi, which was close to the Piazza Del Duomo. Our tour guide recommended it as it was inexpensive and great food. The owner even sings!

Enjoyed Most:
Location and furnishings.
Enjoyed Least:
Very loud all night long in the piazza right outside the two main bedrooms. Night lights would help given the different floor elevations within the apartment.
Surrounding Area:
Wonderful location.
Tips or Restaurants:
Night lights and earplugs.
