Customer Reviews

Clean, safe and comfortable. Very suitable to a family retreat.
Enjoyed Most:
The setting. We got a chance to live like the locals in a private, serene setting with easy access to Rapallo
Enjoyed Least:
The third bathroom was not really a bathroom given the shower and the fact the sink was actually a utility sink. Felt like a laundry room first, bathroom second.
Surrounding Area:
Rapallo is the perfect village from which to explore the Italian Riviera. Most train routes, locals and expresses, stop at Rapallo. One Friday we went to Genoa and after we arrived, there was a typical train strike. We just caught the express to Rome instead and got off at Rapallo. Simple and the same price but one more story to our adventure.I am
Nearby Events or Locales:
Rapallo. Walking distance down but after a night of revelry or a day of sightseeing around Italy, a 12 euro cab ride back.
Tips or Restaurants:
Rapallo has one of the few supermarkets around. Shop for the week and then catch a taxi from the RR station ( 3 min away) back. The climb may be too challenging with groceries and drinks.

Wonderful, spotless, spacious and secure apartment. There were five of us and we all had plenty of room to relax and everyone had their separate bedroom. Lovely views of the bay as well as the town of Rapallo.
Enjoyed Most:
Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable, lovely views. Owner, Daniella, met us in town and we followed her to the apartment. She was very helpful with information and amenities in town. Apartment was fully stocked everything we needed in the kitchen was there, including dishwasher towels and linens were abundant washing machine was handy
Enjoyed Least:
The very narrow two-way road leading to the top of the hill. It was intimidating on the first day, then we got used to the numerous switchbacks! Suggest you rent a small car; might be difficult trying to get a van past the parked cars. We had an Audi and it was fine.
Surrounding Area:
Convenient to the main town of Rapallo. Lovely beaches in town and good shopping and restaurants. Excellent proximity to ferry and train station - very easy to get around the entire area.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Rapallo. Walking distance via a 15 minute walk down some stairs that go all the way to the bottom of the hill. Easier walking down than coming back up.
Tips or Restaurants:
Do not let the drive up the hill intimidate you. It really is not an issue and the apartment and view are worth it.
I suggest directions to take you to the Rapallo train station as that would be a good place to meet the owner who will take you to the apartment. We used GPS but got confused in town and called the owner.
Check In Out:
No changes needed - seamless check in and check out.

Enjoyed Most:
Great space in the property, you could see Portofino very well from the apartment. The gardens were well kept, and the owner left an instructions book with everything you could possibly need to know.
Enjoyed Least:
The apartment was at the top of a steep hill. As we had rented a minbus it was hard to drive up due to vehicles being parked along the way to one side. But it was a very secure place to stay with locked gates only accessed by a key.
Surrounding Area:
The area was beautiful with lots of shops, and market stalls on a Saturday morning along the main beach front.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Rapallo was at the bottom of the hill a three minutes' drive away. You could also walk down between the apartments and houses, which is a pleasant walk, but with lots of steps. Although it only took ten minutes, maybe it is not too good for small children or someone old because it was uneven in places.
Tips or Restaurants:
Take a translation book as all menus are in Italian.

It's perfect for adults ... OK for children too.
Enjoyed Most:
It has magical views. It is right in the center of Liguria province, next to Portofino, and Cinque Terre.
Enjoyed Least:
The property sits atop of a steep hill. Although there is a private shuttle taking residents to the city, it is not flexible enough ... so we had to walk up the hill a few times.
Surrounding Area:
Liguria is Italy at its best ... nature, culture and history have come together to create an authentic Italian experience.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring your own entertainment electronics and content.
