Overall:
We were comfortable and had plenty of space. It was adequate for what we needed.
Enjoyed Most:
The apartment is spacious. Three of us had plenty of room and comfortable beds.
Enjoyed Least:
The bathroom tiles appeared to be in need of a thorough cleaning and the towels were worn. We did not find the kitchen to be well-equipped, so we did not use it.
Surrounding Area:
The location was convenient. Uber drivers found us and delivered us very easily. There are restaurants and a small grocery store within a couple of blocks. We felt safe in the neighborhood.
Directions:
No problem using Google Maps and Uber. It is on a main street and easy to find.
Check In Out:
Christine met us at the property prior to the posted check in time. She was lovely and helpful.

Christina, September

Overall:
The apartment was nice.
Enjoyed Most:
Generous size... more space than we really needed.
Enjoyed Least:
Road noise and lack of air conditioning. It was quite warm during our stay, but we found it to be noisy when we opened the windows for air flow.

Farzahn, July

Overall:
We were very pleased. A very warm, inviting environment.
Enjoyed Most:
Very spacious. Loved the location and proximity to transportation, markets, wine stores, and pastry shops. Beautiful rooms, art and furnishings.
Enjoyed Least:
Bathroom towels need to be refreshed. Washing machine face kept falling off and unit didn't seem to spin very well. Consequently, clothes were extremely wet when put in dryer which then took forever to dry, which was a bit of an inconvenience.
Surrounding Area:
Felt like an actual neighborhood and not touristy.
Tips or Restaurants:
Shop at the markets nearby and stock your kitchen. Very convenient for breakfasts, lunch or cocktails before going out to dinner.
Directions:
We took a cab from airport so no issues.
Check In Out:
Check in went smoothly. We enjoyed the space very much and would recommend!

Shawne, April

Overall:
The apartment exceeded our expectations. We are a family of 5 and we were all very comfortable, never on top of one another.
Enjoyed Most:
The elegant comfort factor. Location was great also. After our day's journey it was wonderful to sit around the dining room table and plan our next day adventure.
Surrounding Area:
The metro was 2 blocks away. New grocery store just opened up across the street. Julien patissiere is less than 2 blocks away. A beautiful place to take out prepared foods and desserts is 3 blocks away. I liked that the area was a neighborhood not touristy, yet we could easily walk 5 blocks to Champs-Elysee and Arc de Triomphe.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We took the RER to Versailles. It was easy and inexpensive.
Tips or Restaurants:
Check-in was easy. Apartment is fully equipped. Chez Janou in the Marais was amazing.

Directions:
We took a cab from the metro and the street is a famous one so no challenges at all.
Check In Out:
All was easily managed, we called ahead to firm up arrival times as we were going to be slightly early and there was no problem at all with that. Very accommodating. Their English was excellent, way better than our French, which made it very easy!

Excellent. Loved the location and historic building and surrounding shops.
Enjoyed Most:
Location and being in a historic Haussmann building.

It is on a noisy street. But the upside is the bedroom windows are double glazed so sleeping was quiet and peaceful. Also, it was fun to watch the rush hour bottleneck from the balcony with a cocktail. The crazy Parisian drivers are amusing to watch!!
Surrounding Area:
Restaurants and great patisseries and easy walk to good Metro line. Beautiful neighborhoods around the apartment.
Tips or Restaurants:
Not really. Just enjoy and go explore!

Sarah, July

Overall:
Staying at Le Serin made our trip to Paris! Great location, great apartment....perfect for four adults and a five year old! A group of all adults would love it as well! The ambiance of the apartment is outstanding, and the poised and professional Beatrix made for a warm and welcoming feeling!
Enjoyed Most:
The living room, kitchen and dining room made entertaining easy and pleasurable. It also allowed us to eat some meals at the apartment, including all breakfasts, which was wonderful. The living room was a perfect place to plot our Paris adventures and to toast memorable explorations of Paris each evening! In addition, having a washer and dryer allowed us to pack lighter than normal.
Enjoyed Least:
I was worried that the smaller bathroom with shower only and toilet down the hall would be a problem...it was not! Baths all have newly renovated modern fixtures and are quite lovely!
Surrounding Area:
Great little grocery store (with wine and whatever one might need), a pharmacy, and a good patisserie within a short walking distance. We could also walk to the Champs Elysees...easy walk to the big Louis Vuitton store as well! Being on the corner made the pick-up and drop off by taxi/private car very convenient (double parking to load and unload luggage was never a problem).
Nearby Events or Locales:
Versailles is close...I suggest getting a car and driver.
Tips or Restaurants:
Beatrice was wonderful. She not only arranged maid service for us mid-week, but she also pre-shopped so the apartment kitchen was full of our immediate needs upon arrival (wine, diet coke, milk, cheese, crackers, fruit, etc.). The kitchen came well equipped with dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, salt/pepper, olive oil, sugar, artificial sweetner, etc.
Directions:
No improvement necessary. The trip from the Paris Nord Station (EuroStar Train from London) only took about 10-15 minutes.
Check In Out:
Beatrice was terrific! Warm and welcoming! She was very thorough in explaining the locks/keys, how to operate the appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher), and pointing out important landmarks, shops, and walking streets from our windows.

Deanie, April

Overall:
We were 5 adults and the apartment was perfect.
Enjoyed Most:
Location.
Surrounding Area:
Being in the heart of Paris and close to the Jacquesmart-Andre and a Metro stop.
Check In Out:
Arrival from the US is usually very early in the morning. We appreciated being able to store our bags prior to the check-in time.

Paula, September

Overall:
We enjoyed staying at the apartment which was convenient and spacious. It was ideal for our purposes.
Tips or Restaurants:
Parking was at a public garage more or less right under the building. It adds up to 25 euros per day, but you can go in and out multiple times a day by getting an abonnement for multiple days.
Directions:
We used GPS and had no problem finding the apartment.

Peter, May

Overall:
Fantastic property.
Enjoyed Most:
Size of the apartment and amenities.
Enjoyed Least:
Street noise is significant.
Surrounding Area:
View from the balcony includes L'Arc de Triomphe. There is a park nearby.
Tips or Restaurants:
Cafe Huiteme is a good nearby restaurant, just down Blvd Haussmann. Also, we highly recommend Musee Jacquemart Andre.

Michael, September

Overall:
We enjoyed our stay very much. Le Serin was everything we hoped it would be and a great place to use as our base of operations while in Paris. We will be using Rentvilla's again and will reccommend you to our friends.
Enjoyed Most:
The fact that it had a lift, and was very secure.
Enjoyed Least:
Can't really think of anything.
Surrounding Area:
We were only five city blocks from the Arc de Triumphe and Champs Elysees. We felt very safe walking at night. We made daily use of the pastery shop and Deli. We saw pretty much all of Paris, the Siene, Notre Dame, the Luvre, Versailles, Sacre Cuer, Montemarte, and the Canals of Paris. We packed a lot into our stay. We did a restaurant or two at first, but after we discovered the food mart, Pastery shop, and Deli, we would stop there on our way back from the days activities and stock up for supper and the next day. It really was an economical way to do Paris. The Haussmann Boulvard and Rue de Franklin Roosevelt were very accessible to some very lively night spots around the Champs Elysees.
Directions:
The owner was very accommodating. He spoke excellent English and called us before we arrived, and as we arrived.
Check In Out:
Beatrix was very helpful, but did not speak very fluent English, as we did not speak very fluent French. We were comfortable with her explanations.

John, September

Overall:
Sweet to be close to one of the "hubs" in Paris. We enjoyed the lovely restaurants and outdoor cafes. The views were "true Paris"! Romantic!
Enjoyed Least:
Noise from the streets all night.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring your own soap and washcloths.
Directions:
We had Paris City limos pick us up. Great value and zero hassle!

Sarah, September

Overall:
It was great and very enjoyable. Would definitely go again.
Enjoyed Most:
That it was a home and very comfortable. It was beautifully decorated. The building is very secure.
Enjoyed Least:
Street noise. Hausmann is a major thoroughfare and a cobblestoned street. Also, there is no air-conditioning. For the most part it is not needed, but sometimes there are hot spells.
Surrounding Area:
Down the street from the Arc de Triomphe and an easy walk to the Champs Elysee stop for the Batobus or the Saint Phillipe de Roule metro stop. There's also a market next to the metro stop.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The apartment is on the right bank of Paris in the 8th arrondissement.
Tips or Restaurants:
On Rue de Faub St Honore, there is a great bistro called Chez Stef. There's also a very good cafe three restaurants down on Hausmann that makes great croqs and sandwiches. The Musee Jacquemart Andre is also an interesting find and very nearby.
Directions:
From the Arc de Triomphe, walk down Av de Friedland which will turn into Blvd Hausmann. It is a 10 minute walk.
Check In Out:
The owner was very nice in showing us how everything works when we got there and letting us leave our baggage at the apartment during check out since our flight was in the evening.

Daniel , August

Overall:
It exceeded our expectations.
Enjoyed Most:
Very spacious, high ceilings, really allowed each family member of 5 to have his/her own space.
Enjoyed Least:
It was a bit warm with no AC on the days it was hot.
Surrounding Area:
Great area - upscale, good patiseries, cafes, restaurants, markets and decent shopping. Very close to St. Phillipe metro.
Directions:
we took the Air France bus to the Arc de Triomphe and easily walked to the apartment.
Check In Out:
Beatrix was really prompt and very nice.

Steven, July

Overall:
Great place to stay when visiting downtown Paris. Can walk most places, and feel that you are living in Paris in a nice apartment.
Enjoyed Most:
The location and spaciousness of the apartment. It was well stocked and everything worked well: Internet, washer, etc. Being greeted and having everything explained was an asset.
Enjoyed Least:
The second bathroom, which is a shower room with sink. The hot water tap in the guest WC didn't work and the shower room is small, albeit a great shower. We were expecting 2 full bathrooms. Editor's Note: The second bathroom has a shower and sink, but no toilet. There is a guest bathroom with toilet and sink; the sink has cold water only.
Surrounding Area:
Park Moreau , and everthing that central Paris has to offer.
Tips or Restaurants:
Check the aparatment before you buy staples and groceries, as it was well stocked with basics already .

Lynette, June

Overall:
It was delightful...The apartment was so beautifully decorated and 'glamorous', but it was also comfortable. We were very pleased with our choice of this apartment.
Enjoyed Most:
The view from the balcony to the Arc de Triomphe was our favorite part. The large doors that opened to the balcony from every room were wonderful. The openness of the library and living room allowed us to sit and talk about "our day in Paris".
Enjoyed Least:
For six people we did not like that fact that there were only two toilets, but it did not really make a difference since we were all family, however it might be a problem for unrelated travelers. We were traveling with our adult children.
Surrounding Area:
There was a grocery store one block away that closed at 9:00 pm with a Starbucks almost next door. There was also a little convenience store 1/2 block away that was open until 10:00 pm. The Metro stop-St. Philippe du Roule was two blocks away and a pharmacy is across the street. The Arc de Triomphe at night from the balcony was awesome!!!!
Nearby Events or Locales:
Since we love to walk, this was a convenient location. It was 1/2 mile to the Arc de Triomphe and 1.5 miles to the Louvre. We walked everywhere and when we were tired took the Metro back to the apartment.
Tips or Restaurants:
We tried all the Italian restaurants in the neighborhood and they were amazing. The wireless network only allowed for one computer at a time. We only ate breakfast at the apartment, but the kitchen is very well stocked with anything that one might need to cook a meal. The only thing that I can think that a renter would need are extra plugs for French electrical outlets.
Directions:
We took a cab from and to the airport. It cost 50 euros for four people and four pieces of luggage.
Check In Out:
Beatrix did a great job of checking us in and out. Even though I do not speak any French she did a great job of explaining how everything worked.

Marilyn, April

Overall:
A perfect apartment with fine furnishings mixed with more eclectic art. Perfect with children as there was lots of space.
Enjoyed Most:
The large windows and long hallway that separated the living room from the bedrooms.
Enjoyed Least:
The noisy street.
Surrounding Area:
Easy access to the metro and good restaurants.

Mary, March
