The experience was absolutely incredible - beyond words. It was the perfect blend of nature, culture and family time set in the best of Tuscany's Old World charm.

It was wonderful. We did not use the living room at all or the dining room as we were either outside by the pool, under the pergola or in the kitchen and of course, in the bedrooms or taking showers, etc. The kitchen was small but cozy and would be where we would sit and talk about the day. All of us were never in at one time, so it worked out. The table outside the kitchen was used by one or more several times.
Enjoyed Most:
The outside was definitely our favorite, with the view and the grounds. Loved the pool. During the day, there was a tranquility and beauty to it. Our group always has good conversation and laughter and that continued, however I noticed that people were either together or taking the opportunity to be off by themselves reading or sleeping or relaxing. The bedrooms were nice.
Enjoyed Least:
Interrupted sleep because of barking neighbor dogs.
Surrounding Area:
The history, the beauty, the people, the unspoiled quality of the countryside.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Volterra. No. Wonderful view of it at night.
Tips or Restaurants:
I was relying on the group and several of them had Rick Steves' books. In Lucca we found a wonderful restaurant - friendly, great ambiance - my friend checked and it was in Rick Steves.
I would definitely put directions in from all sides and possible ways of coming. We came from Florence and we encountered a 439 and went to marker 11 and drove and drove because we didn't understand that the letters underneath made it a different road. Several people had GPSs.
Check In Out:
It went smoothly.

It is a magical place. Dorella and Tuilio were wonderful, the house is clean, quiet and beautifully kept. The view is spectacular. We were a family of 18, and had an absolutely great time. This was probably the most beautiful villa we've rented so far, and we are a long-term customers of Rentvillas, and we keep returning to Italy almost every year.

Enjoyed Least:
Nothing, whatsoever.
Surrounding Area:
View, good strategic location to visit many places in Tuscany.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Volterra is 6 km away. Our young family members hiked to Volterra, but for most of us you need a car.
Tips or Restaurants:
The villa is very well equipped.
It was easy to find even without the GPS.
Check In Out:
Very smooth and pleasant. Dorella is wonderful!

This was our first experience renting a villa. It could not have been any better. The villa met all our needs and exceeded our expectations.
Enjoyed Most:
With the temperatures above the normal the pool became one of the best features of the property.
Enjoyed Least:
It was not as close to cities in the area but was ok for driving to them.
Surrounding Area:
The acessibility to the Tuscan Hill Top towns.
Tips or Restaurants:
Booklight for reading as lighting very dim in most bedrooms. Il Monte on SR68 about KM 57 marker next to sunflower fields was able to seat and feed 12 of us on short notice without reservations. Take train from Ceraldo to Florence.
