Customer Reviews

Excellent. Best way to find the Villa was to use the Waze app. Simple.
Enjoyed Most:
Beauty of the grounds. Ability to eat inside or outside at multiple spots depending on the shade and weather. Grand view and good location between Florence and Siena plus a dozen interesting hill towns, all in easy reach by car.
Enjoyed Least:
It was HOT.
Surrounding Area:
Tuscany is wonderful.
See above. Waze makes finding the villa and getting around Tuscany easy.
Check In Out:
Yes. Ute offered to take a credit card for the deposit. Would have saved the time and cost of changing dollars to Euros and back had we known in advance.

Alan, August

We had the best time. All the family reunited and the times spent together for two weeks were priceless.
Enjoyed Most:
The spectacular 360 degree views, arguably the most beautiful in all of Tuscany. And believe me, we drove all over Tuscany.
Surrounding Area:
We were surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills, a thousand year old church in the near distance, and the ancient towns in the far distance.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Certaldo. It was 15 minutes away.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring bug spray and be sure to spray on before going to sleep, as the windows do not have screens. Great restaurant called Osteria Casa Chianti just 3 minutes by car. One of the finest in all of Tuscany. Another great restaurant was La Saleta in Certaldo. It is also a pasticerria.
We used a GPS, but only later when we figured out how it worked. Getting there the first time, we had to call the owner, Alessandro, about 5 times to direct us. I strongly recommend a GPS as the place is hard to find, but a GPS will get you there without getting lost.
Check In Out:
The hosts, Alessandro, Giuliana and Paola were absolutely charming and very helpful. They were there every day attending to us and helping us. We became fast friends.

It was very good overall. Very nice view. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.
Enjoyed Most:
The view!
Surrounding Area:
The view
Nearby Events or Locales:
Certaldo Alto is not walking distance from the villa. It is at least 10 mins of winding roads with no sidewalks for human traffic.
Tips or Restaurants:
Mosquito repellent!
The address the owners gave was good for our GPS.
