Customer Reviews

Overall:
Tranquil, restorative stay at a lovely property in a beautiful part of France.
Enjoyed Most:
Outdoor living and eating areas, herbs and flowers, privacy, view of the village.
Enjoyed Least:
Hmm. No real problems. I will say that the supplies were sparse, not even any salt and pepper in the cupboard.
Surrounding Area:
Beauty of the vineyards and orchards, tiny villages with narrow streets and old buildings of native stone. There were well-marked walking trails from village to village (wear suitable shoes for rocky paths).
Nearby Events or Locales:
La Capelle-et-Masmolene is within walking distance but has no stores.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring everything you need for kitchen and bathroom, all that was there upon our arrival were partial rolls of paper towels and toilet paper. Oh, they did have some dish washing detergent and scrubbers. You will also need to bring or rent towels for bath, kitchen and pool. Editor's Note: 15 Euros per person for 1 bath towel + 1 pool towel; kitchen towels are 7 Euros for 2.
Directions:
No problem finding the place. Yes, we had a GPS.
Check In Out:
Luc Huys was the BEST. Not only did he meet us at the property and show us everything, but he helped me immensely with some medical needs. It was after hours on a holiday weekend and he accompanied us to a town 15 kilometers away, found an emergency room and doctor, and even went to a police station with us (yes, really) we had to go there to request a nighttime opening of a pharmacy. He translated for us -- I'm sure I would have had a VERY difficult time understanding why we needed to go to a police station! -- and did all this with great patience and good humor. I did not meet his wife Hilde but she was extremely helpful and responsive via text. Thank you again, Luc and Hilde!

Overall:
It was a very comfortable place to enjoy the country living experience.
Enjoyed Most:
The location. It has a beautiful view and is easy to get sights in the surrounding area.
Enjoyed Least:
There was very little basic kitchen supplies provided, beyond salt, pepper, and olive oil). We were supplied with 2 bath towels for the week, but we did have a washing machine.
Surrounding Area:
The views were spectacular and there were easy walks around the village.
Nearby Events or Locales:
La Capelle et Masmolene
Tips or Restaurants:
If you plan to cook or have some wine to drink, bring it with you. The closest store is about 6 miles away.
Directions:
The directions were good, but I highly recommend using a GPS. The one I had also showed the speed limit, which was very helpful.

We couldn't have asked for better.
