Customer Reviews

Very positive experience - good location, beautiful surroundings, welcoming keyholder and owners.
Enjoyed Most:
View, proximity to town of Cortona, lovely outdoor dining area, nice fenced pool area in yard (too cold to use in October, but would be a real positive in the summer!)
Enjoyed Least:
Narrow, steep road can be a little challenging, especially when another car is coming, though it is only a short distance. The other buildings on the property are fairly close to the cottage, and though this was not an issue for us, keep in mind if you want a very secluded location.
Surrounding Area:
Cortona is a charming city, with spectacular views and well situated for day trips to other great sites to visit in Tuscany and Umbria.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Cortona is a short, but very steep walk up the hill. Worth the walk, however, as parking is scarce and costs money in the lots just outside the city walls.
Tips or Restaurants:
Lots of good dining options in Cortona. Some restaurants we enjoyed were Trattoria Dardano (excellent straightforward, typical food), and for fancier meals, Osteria del Teatro and Preludia.
We did use a GPS, but the written directions seemed fine, too.
Check In Out:
We got a text response immediately after we left a message for our keyholder, Silvia. She was actually able to have the cottage ready for us to check in a couple of hours early. Her English was excellent and she was very welcoming. She gave us a some good suggestions of places to visit in the area.

A delightful property for 3-4 people. We first stayed here in 2016 and came back in 2017.
Enjoyed Most:
The location is excellent, just 400 metres walk to the Cortona wall. Beautiful views with a great outdoor eating area looking over the valley.
Enjoyed Least:
Nothing--it's all good.
Surrounding Area:
Easy driving distance to lots of towns and villages. Florence is 1.5 hours away by train.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Cortona is very close. It is a beautiful hill town.
It was hard to find the first time we visited, as the GPS tries to take us the wrong way but when we contacted Silvia she came and rescued us.
Check In Out:
Silvia is so lovely and helpful. She is very flexible and helpful. I think she will do anything for you if you ask.

A peaceful week in a lovely cottage where we could enjoy a fantastic view and an easy walk into the nearby and always entertaining and welcoming city of Cortona.
Enjoyed Most:
The proximity to Cortona.
Enjoyed Least:
The bed was not the most comfortable.
Surrounding Area:
The views were spectacular, Cortona was within walking distance, and there are many attractions within an easy drive.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Cortona. Yes!
Tips or Restaurants:
We brought some portable speakers so we could enjoy some music. Cortona is chock full of good restaurants (though I might avoid Darden) also about a twenty minute drive away is one of our favorite restaurants in Tuscany (Il Gaustini) -- it is definitely worth a visit.
The GPS directions take you right there. Maybe tell people that they'll take the steep road down right after passing the second parking lot.
Check In Out:
No. That was super easy and efficient.
