Customer Reviews

Enjoyed Most:
The bedrooms were comfortable and furnished beautifully the pictures were accurate and the kitchen was workable. Pretty good location once we found it, would have been almost impossible without GPS. It was located in a quiet out of the way rural agricultural area with awesome view of Castiglione del Lago. Alice, the property owner responded immediately to any issues and although we did not use the pool it was cleaned every morning and Alice and her mother cleaned each room twice during our 11 day stay.
Enjoyed Least:
That there was no gathering area (living room) within the structure where we were staying.
Surrounding Area:
Nice location for heading out each day to explore different cities everything you could imagine within a 1-2 hour drive. Close enough to the main town Castiglione del Lago to enjoy dinner, a little shopping or drinking wine.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Castiglione del Lago was the nearest town. Absolutely nothing within walking distance we were overlooking farmland and fields in the back and could see the castle town from the front.
Tips or Restaurants:
Pretty much everything we needed was supplied, except converters and plugs for phones etc. internet was little sketchy for some others didn't have much of a problem. There was no ice maker and Italians don't use much ice so it was hard to find. We bought about 8 ice trays and kept it going that way. Conads a grocery store you will pass everyday on your way to town had everything you will need including liquor and they cooked some great lasagna in the back of the store, we bought the whole tray and had one night for dinner and a rotisserie chicken we shared another evening. Restaurants in the town were ok but apparently Italians do not rush a meal and it would take a couple of hours to eat a simple dinner but gave everyone time to catch up on their day.
Directions:
GPS is a must and even those with it had to call for directions. Once we figured it out no problem but initially difficult.
