Overlooking vineyards and olive groves, this seven bedroom villa is ideal for couples vacationing together in Tuscany and Umbria. Located near Lake Trasimeno and not far from Cortona, this is a lovely area for exploring ancient Etruscan ruins, as well as the main sites of Eastern Tuscany and Western Umbria. There is a convenient train station located just five kilometers away.

Location Description

Tuoro Sul Trasimeno is located four kilometers from the villa. The closest train station is in Terontola, located five kilometers away, where you will also find cafes, restaurants, markets, shops, a post office, a pharmacy, and a bank. For a lighthearted activity, take a quick drive on a sunny day to the beaches of Lake Trasimeno where you can rent jet skis, or paddle boats. At the end of the day, eat at one of the restaurants featuring fresh fish or homemade pasta. The ancient Etruscan town of Cortona is a short drive away and is full of art, history, and culture. Here you can tour frescoed churches from the 13th century; explore the original city walls, and visit an art exhibit in the 16th century fortress. You are also sure to find ancient tombs dating back to the second century BC, restaurants featuring delicious Tuscan dishes, and plenty of shops ranging from antiques and crafts, to wines and olive oils. There is also the possibility of taking day trips to Perugia, Arezzo, and Siena.

Exterior Description

This villa is a carefully renovated old stone house which maintains its original architectural features. The area surrounding the villa looks over the vineyard and olive groves of the property. The street leading to the villa is an unpaved, landscaped, road about 100 meters in length and leads guests through an automatic gate. There is an enclosed garden to the side of the entrance of the house, and in the back is the private infinity swimming pool (12 m x 6 m, Open from March to October) with sun beds and chairs, a sofa, a barbeque. There is also a porch where there are table and chairs for al fresco dining. About 300 meters away from there villa there is another independent villa for rent (by the name of Villa Fontana which sleeps 10 – 13 guests and is ideal for larger groups looking to be close together on their holiday).

Interior Description

(400 m2)
Ground Floor: From the main entrance, a stone arch to the left leads to the living room with two sofas (one is a queen size sofa bed), a fireplace, Satellite TV and the stereo system that is found throughout the house, including in the bathrooms. Off of the living room is a bathroom with a shower. Separated by an arch is the dining room and to the left through a door is the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dish washer, 6-burner gas stove, electric oven (90 cm), American refrigerator with freezer and ice maker, a work island with wine fridge, American coffee machine, Italian coffee machine, microwave oven, and toaster.

Off to the right side of the main entrance are three steps and a corridor where there are the first three bedrooms, all which have air conditioning and stereo. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed (160 cm) which can be separated into two single beds upon prior request and it has a computer. This room is the only one that doesn't have the bathroom en suite; however, it is located immediately in front of the door and is equipped with a hair dryer with shaver socket, bidet, shower with chromo therapy and handheld shower heads. The second bedroom has a queen size bed (165 cm), and an en suite bathroom with a bidet, shower with chromo therapy and handheld shower heads, hair dryer with shaver socket. The third bedroom has a queen size bed (165 cm), a queen size sofa bed, and an en suite bathroom with a bidet, shower with chromo therapy and handheld shower heads, and a hair dryer with shaver socket.

First Floor: 16 steps lead to the first floor where there are four bedrooms all equipped with air conditioning and the stereo system. The 4th bedroom is the largest, with a big arch that separates the queen size bed (165 cm) from the fireplace and Jacuzzi tub area. There is also a single sofa bed. The bathroom has a bidet and a shower with handheld shower heads, and a hair dryer with shaver socket. The 5th bedroom has a queen size bed (165 cm) that can be separated in 2 single beds (upon prior request), and an en suite bathroom, with a bidet, double shower with handheld shower heads, and a hair dryer with shaver socket. The 6th bedroom has a queen size bed (165 cm), and an en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi shower with hydro massage and handheld shower heads, a bidet, and a hair dryer with shaver socket. The 7th bedroom has a queen size bed (160 cm) that can be separated in 2 single beds and an en suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath with hydro massage, a bidet, shower and sauna, and hair dryer with shaver socket.
